Vermont transferred DACA to Nebraska about a month or two before CSC transferred theirs to Texas.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextoid=cf53e5a4b7d1d310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

Although apparently, according to what a few other members have said, when CSC still had the huge backlog, they sent some of their stuff to Vermont. This is the result.

My thoughts?

Send it all back. They're ahead now, let them sort out their own mess.

I agree, CSC is months ahead of VSC due to helping them out with DACA, it's now time to let them handle their own DACA and let VSC catch up with their huge backlog...their goal is five months, but we all know how that is working out...:(

Perhaps a small amount, but going from the below, the majority have been done. I wouldn't say they process them in order, given that they went to November when a big chunk of October is left to be done, and some Jan filers were approved and December not even touched. There's also no point of working "in order" if the whole thing is taking twice as long as the other service center.

Me too. I get that all the time. Family, friends and work colleagues all saying "What's going on with America" "When you moving to America" "What's happening with the visa" "Don't you have your visa yet" and I'm like no, the petition isn't even approved yet. We still have all of the Embassy stage to do. Initially I thought I'd be gone by August-September. Thought it'd take 5 months ish for the petition, then 2 months for the Embassy. Didn't realise they counted from Month 0. Now I'm having to tell everyone it'll most likely be November by the time I actually leave.

I like how VSC is doing first come first served. yes csc is procesing january filler but they are being unfair to last year fillers.

The vsc is not doing first come first serve ... A week ago the had on one igors list approval for August September November and one December .... There s no rhyme or reason ..... IMHO

You should get approved soon, and once you do, the process if very quick through Juarez (see my Timeline)...

I filed Nov 1. Ou receipt day is Nov 7 and we are still waiting. I checked online with other cases and they have been approved or gotten an RFE. I would for sure even take an RFE I just want a response. I checked last night and the case before us and after us has already either been approved or gotten an RFE and they skipped ours. I contacted my congressman office and I am placing a privacy act release form about our case. I am for sure hoping we get something today because two days ago that I checked the previous cases beore us had Initial Review and when I checked last night all were either RFE or Approvals. I am really getting frustrated with this waiting time. It is very aggravating to see other cases being approved before ours. I am happy for the applicants and their fiancées, but I find It really unfair specially when they have not updated their timeline and when you call they still give you a JUlY working case as of right now when we know for sure they are way past July. If anyone receives anything please keep us updated. Meanwhile we will continue praying for each other. God Bless each and everyone of us still waiting way past the 6 months period.

When we went to visitors venues we told them all we were looking at a november wedding....

I'm expecting a Nov-December wedding really. Getting there, arranging everything then getting it all done. Annoying, as I really didn't want a Christmas wedding but I want to have enough time after my wedding to file for AOS and get all of that done before my I-94 expires. Luckily, when I was in SC last December, it was quite warm and I could wear a t-shirt. Big shock when I got back to the UK. Perhaps I'm thinking too much of how England is at Christmas.

Angelina - I definitely agree, and this is what's getting my back up a bit. VSC aren't fair, they do exactly the same thing, but it's so slow that it is barely noticeable. CSC do approve in a funny order as well but they're blasting through applications and are into 2013 now, yet it still gets a lot of complaints. I think people are just all over CSC after the July 18th fiasco.

What happen to VSC? They really sucks..CSC is doing their job good and VSC is just sleeping on our papers!:ranting:

The csc fell behind and sent extra work to the vsc ... So now they are bogged down and we are paying the price. We need to write and call our representatives and senators and ask for additional help for the vsc or a way they can all equally share the extra work so one service center dies not bear the brunt . We all agree vsc is doing their best under these circumstances but where is the uproar from them and us... Lets make our voices heard...to have a 5 months processing time be listed for almost 7 weeks and then only see another service center deliver that is unacceptable ... The have these tools on the Internet to keep us informed .. NOT to give us false hope and dash any inspiration that we can start our lives with the ones we love. Capital hill is now very close to passing laws to help illegals stay here.... How about they put the same attention to helping those doing it the LEGAL way a chance to start a life here.....

I wrote the vsc via email and they responded

Thank you for your courteous inquiry. I wish I could pass on more positive information, however, I cannot. Applications are processed in date order and they receive thousands every day. Yes, we often move applications around based on pending workload and resources available. Unfortunately, at this time there is nothing that will help move your case (or any other) faster. The website: www.uscis.gov provides "Expedite Criteria" but you have mentioned nothing that would place the processing of your application in that category. Even if Expedited processing were approved you would be placed in a long line of those in that category. You may wish to check those requirements.

Of course, you may contact your Congressional representatives but it will not help regarding acquiring additional resources. Budget cuts as well as the Sequestor have affected hiring new staff members. Even if we could hire tomorrow, the hiring process (including background check) is lengthy and time consuming. Once a new officer is selected and an entry on duty date established, they have to attend training prior to adjudicating.

I do caution you that it is not wise to incur any non-refundable expenses (wedding planning) until you have the approved application and card in his hand. You do not mention where your fiancé is coming from. Once we approve the application, it may require an interview in his home country via the US Embassy/Consulate. We have no control over that process and that can sometimes take quite a while. They are under the jurisdiction of the Department of State.

There is no way to predict when the processing center will catch up and process your application. I wish I could provide more positive feedback but I cannot. It is the USCIS goal to process all cases as quickly and fairly as possible.

Thank you,
