Montreal interview for june 27th

Hi everyone my wife has her interview booked for june 27th at 10am.We would like to know what is the best time to be there? The website nvc sent us to read over says 20min before interview time any earlier we you will be turned away and everything we have seen on vj says be there before they open.

For Montreal it is first come first serve. Get there early, follow Saylin's directions and you'll likely be done by 9-10 am. Make sure to sign up for Loomis and do not bring anything but paperwork with you. No cell phones, no purses, not even your key fob for your car.

Take some time to read the reviews for the Montreal consulate so you can be familiar with more recent experiences. This will help you to undestand that it is VERY beneficial to arrive early in the morning. If you have a 10:00 appointment and arrive 'early' for it (30 minutes for example) all that means is that you'll be standing outside in line waiting to get in whenever they get to you. The appointments really mean nothing at all. As NikiR pointed out, it is first come, first served. If you arrive super early, you can get in way before your scheduled time and get everything out of the way. That is what most members here have chosen to do and it has worked well for all of us along the way!

You can wait if you like, but your 10:00 appointment would likely become closer to 12:00 or even later in my estimate after you spend time lined up outside and then waiting to be pre-screened and then waiting for your turn once you get upstairs.

As the two mentioned above, it's first come, first serve. Once you get up to the top floor, they hand you a little piece of paper with a number on it. That's the order they process cases, not by appointment time. So, if you want to be in and out of the consulate within 1-2 hours, you're going to want to show up before 7am. If you show up later or within 20 minutes of your 10am "appointment time", then expect to be inside the consulate for quite a few hours, as there will be a LOT of people before you.

I still have my C1 ticket in my immigration folder! One of these days I'd like to frame it. I felt VERY proud on getting that first ticket

Thanks for all the info we are reading over the guides and reviews. We did try to sign up for loomis on the site they had on interview letter but it says case # is not right so I'm guessing its just not in system yet

Unless they've changed it, they didn't ask for my case number when I signed up for Loomis 2 years ago. The only "number" they asked for was my passport number.

You have to do a whole new sign up. It's confusing because of how they word it but just do the new user sign up. Yo won't be in the system until you put yourself there.

Unless they've changed it, they didn't ask for my case number when I signed up for Loomis 2 years ago. The only "number" they asked for was my passport number.

This was still the same for me a few months ago. Just create your new account.
