Another milestone....Case Number assigned

Well after receiving NOA2 on 9th May, my fiance just called NVC and they were able to give him the case number YAY!!!!!!

They did tell him though that it takes 4-6 weeks usually before the papers get to London. But that is still good news in my books. We are still moving forward

I called this morning also!!! Yeah fellow May 9th NOA2ers! (wow that sounds dumb )

Anyways I asked and they said it became active May 15, (I assume this is a receive date).

Then I asked if it was forwarded to the consulate yet, she then answered no it's undergoing additional processing..

Anyways I am hoping for the best and hopefully it will get sent next week!

I was dumb and forgot to ask for the Frankfurt case number .. I will call again next week.

Great news! We got NOA2 on 10 May but my fiance hasn't got anything through in the post yet. :-( I'm flying out to see him tomorrow so we'll be calling on Monday and hopefully we'll get our case number too. Does it really take 4-6 weeks to get to London? Wow.

Anyway, congratulations! I will be stalking you (in the nicest possible way) all the way to Oregon as that's where I'm heading too...

Nevermind. I found out they are open until midnight EST and I called again. They lady was EXTREMELY NICE and helpful. I got my frankfurt case number and she said it was shipped today!!!

Is that normal for England? Because 4-6 weeks seems like a long time to me.

I called NVC on Monday, May 13, exactly one week after my NOA2 was approved. NVC told me they received it that day (May 13) and gave me the case number. They told me to call weekly to check the status on if it got sent out. Well, I called yesterday, and our packet was shipped to the Paris consulate on May 14!!!

After being held up at CSC for nearly 9 1/2 months, I can't help but be shocked at the speed things are going and also terrified of getting my hopes up again until we have the interview date set.

That's great news! We got our NOA2 on May 9 also and my fiance plans to call NVC on Monday. :-)

well maybe he can call them again next week sometime, see if things are moving. Once we know it has been mailed out to London I can do the chasing. Getting him to call means he has to sit down for 20 mins and he loathes to do that lol.

Thank you I entered my case number. It says it is at NVC Hopefully it will soon be in London. I just have to wait I guess
