NOW I know why she can schedule an interview via phonecall

its because MARIO AND MARIA is on an expedite process

She/ They had the power/Chance to schedule an appointment/interview even though theyre on CR 1 category

so for us regular filers EXPECT TO rot! and wait in vain!

NVC is so unfair ;(

we were case completed since MAY 2

my husband called 2 days ago and NVC told him all slots are full for june

And theyre not sure if ill make it on JULY OR AUGUST...

hows dat??? sigh!!!

Im sorry to hear that. i dont know much about the whole "regular" process but dont give up hope.

I can tell you from my own personal experience that you can change the date of an immigrant visa interview after the NVC has it scheduled. HOWEVER, do NOT do this. The Embassy in Manila will not allow the interview to proceed and will either force you to come back on the date initially scheduled by the NVC or if you are really unlucky they will punt the process back to the NVC for them to reschedule a date the next month.
