I was able to send my DS 230 forms within a month of sending in my petition for my husband to the USEM in manila...

all I can say is don't wait for anything via snail mail..

call them and ask them whats up with your petition...

mine was approved in a week... i called the IV unit, they received it within another week and I sent my DS 230 form.

Once they upgrade the DS 230 form, you can now schedule your interview...

Everything is booked in june :[

so me and my husband have our appointment on july 3 and planning to do the medical on monday...

call them (USCIS)... ask if your petition is approved... if it is... call within another week... this time at the IV unit... ask if they received the petition then email DS 230 and DS 2001... give them time to upgrade the forms in their system... then call again... once ugraded you can schedule your interview...

goodluck!

We filed on April 24... and we got married on April 3...

The USCIS moves pretty fast, especially if you have all the paper work in order...

Its definitely faster to petition directly to the USEM than petitioning back home in the states... the petition doesn't go through the whole NVC process, rather, it is directly evaluated by the USCIS in the USEM manila...
