What to bring to interview?

Our consulate requires an updated police certificate, regardless of whether the one you submitted is still valid, I guess to make sure you haven't committed any crimes between then and now. It depends on the consulate/embassy how many passport pictures you have to take - sometimes it's two, sometimes it's three. No, you can't take a USB or a CD with pictures, so you'll have to print them.

Good luck at your interview!

When the consulate contacts you do they let you know what original documents they have received from the NVC? I am just a bit worried because in the packet 4 it says to bring your original birth and mariage certificate but I already submitted those to the NVC.

First of all, can I ask you totimeline.gif ? I wanted to check your timeline to see what country you're filing for buuuut you didn't have one. sad.png

I don't think all consulates contact you. Our consulate sent us an email, and gave us a list of documents we needed specifically, but you might want to ask others from your country to get a better idea of whether to expect some sort of correspondence from the consulate. If the P4 says you need to bring the docs to the interview, do it. They wouldn't put that for nothing, and it's better to be safe than sorry. good.gif

I filled it in my info, I am just a bit confused or discouraged because I had to submit original documents to the NVC such as police certificate, mariage certificate, and birth certificate which were difficult to obtain. Now they ask them again at the consulate interview but the NVC has them? When i called the NVC they said they will send the documents to the consulate so I hope that is the case, anybody have any experience with that?

If you did not do EP and the NVC has your documents, yes they will send them to Montreal and you will get them back there.

BTW, it's cool to meet another Canadian headed to Denver! :D

and OMFG we were married on the SAME DAY!!!
