We have not file anything yet. Has anyone filed a Visitors Visa and been approved? What is the likelyhood of it getting approved?

His strong ties are parents and siblings, also he is a pastor of a little flock. Is that strong enough?

Probably not, unless being pastor he makes a good income. But if you can afford the tourist visa application fee, why not give it a try- a denial will not impact a future fiance or spousal visa.

Hi Tracy, this is Jill. As you know, the Nairobi Embassy is extremely difficult. Even though he is a Pastor, I highly, highly doubt he will be granted a Visitor's Visa to the U.S. They typically deny nearly every Visitor's Visa unless the circumstances are very unique. I truly believe it would be a waste of money to even try the Visitor's Visa. Everyone from the Kenya Portal will agree with me.

The best thing for you to do is continue your relationship and keep proof of EVERYTHING...phone call logs, handwritten letters (they are a big plus), and emails. Go and visit him in Kenya, and then file your petition for a K-1 visa. I would not recommend marrying him on your first initial visit and filing a CR-1 as this will raise another red flag at the Embassy.
