Still Waiting for Interview Date

Hey Guys,

I sent off my DS Forms package along with the notice of readiness on the 15th April.

Had my medical on 18th April.

I called the Embassy on the 2nd May to check that they had everything. They said my forms are currently being processed and it should take around 6 weeks from the date they received the forms. 6 weeks? Seriously? I've read that it usually only takes 4. I guess this is just me being impatient and such but it's been almost 5 weeks now.

What have the waiting times been like for others?
(I'm filing with the Embassy in London so really I'm looking to hear back from other people who are filing at the same place.)
Anyone else waiting for their interview date too?

All this waiting is driving me crazy tongue_ss.gifblink.png

Our time was similar to yours , once we got the interview date , it was for the next week. Good luck!

Oh gosh don't say that you'll get my heart racing ohmy.png

I'm thinking I'll probably hear next week or maybe the week after...

Knowing that its so near now is such a strange feeling.

We've been waiting since September 2012 and now all of a sudden it's so close...

Think I need to take a moment to calm down mellow.png

I hear you! We did the same thing , so close ! but yet so far! or at least it seems that way. You guys have made it this far youll make it another week or so . Im sure you will hear any day , Its about a month from the time they get all your info , I would go by the last date of when you either paid your visa fee , sent in the papers of readiness or the medical , whichever date was your last. They will not schedule your interview until they have all of this , it only takes a few days for your medical records to get to them. So on average atm its taken about a month to get an interview give or take by 2 weeks. If you go over 6 weeks call them.

I feel your pain , I miss mine as well , he will be here Sat. and its keeling me ! Luckily I have 2 kids and a house to clean and work , to keep me busy! Also got a few beers in the fridge :D , And a wedding to plan for ! Still waiting on that darn priest to call so I can set a date , planning a wedding in less then a month , interesting thats for sure. I have an idea what all but not a date! So cant go any further :( , I think personally for me the end was the worse , cause when you start you know your in for a long wait. But then things just start moving a tad bit faster but seems not fast enough!

Exactly. You're totally right about it being worse near the end- at least before you know its going to be a few months so you can keep yourself occupied with work etc. I had a christmas temp job that ended at the beginning of January and I've been looking for work ever since. But everything's so unpredictable cause I could get the letter any day.. I can't even go to uni or study anything because I wouldn't be able to finish what I started... It's so frustrating. Can't wait till we can get married and actually start our life together!!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
