Really, I'm the impatient one. I called the DoS and found out that packet 3 is on it's way since May 10th. I told my fiance to fill out and mail the forms NOW since waiting for the packet to get to him is silly since all the forms and information is online. Well, he is going to wait until this weekend to fill out the forms and mail it off Tuesday of next week since next Monday is a holiday in Canada. I'm a bit miffed and irritated because we are using the dreaded Montreal Consulate and an interview appointment can take up to 4-6 months AFTER packet 3 is received.

Please, tell me to chill VJ community. I'm just excited, nervous and ready to to move on to the next step as soon as possible so that we know more and can prepare. Being in limbo right now, even at this step is working my nerves.

HELP!

I know exactly how you feel and I honestly think after the whole NOA2 frustration we finally have some control of the pace of putting together our paper work for the interview. I know and completely understand so this is one impatient person to another. Relax! There is only so much you can say to express how much you want to get this done with before you frustrate yourself. So from now till Tuesday just chill and on Wednesday you can get on it again.

Good Luck. I hope you get an interview date soon.

4-6 Months is a bit excessive :-p The last interview date posted on the Time Lines is June 25th. I'm surprised Montreal mailed it, many people have been dealing with them over email these days. Perhaps include a letter asking to send packet 4 over email with the email address, speed it up a little.

2011-05-21: Matched on eharmony (clearly not in my 60 mile radius preference!)

2011-08-28: Day I knew I wanted to spend my life with her

2012-01-21: I proposed, outside in the freezing cold!

2012-02-06: Mailed out K-1 via FedEX

2012-02-10: NOA1

2012-08-01: NOA2

2012-08-17: Packet 3 received (email)

2012-09-10: Packet 3 sent

2012-09-12: Packet 4 received (email) with request for 2 photos

2012-10-29: Medical in Toronto

2012-11-06: Interview - Approved!

2013-04-05: POE Thousand Islands

I'm actually going to call DoS a week after he sends the packet to Montreal and see if they've logged it in. Once it's logged, we can start trying to get an interview date without actually having Packet 4 in hand. I've begun to chill and understand the long hall. The NOA2 came 7 months instead of 5 months and whatever timeline we had in mind is shot to hell anyway rofl.gif

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
