Hello everyone !

I am from Egypt my girl friend is from Vegas, she came here on May 5th and left on May 14th

we both want to get married

I want to go see Vegas and her family like she has seen mine

tell me what to do ...

should she apply for a K1 ?

or should I go for a 2 weeks vacation and marry her and when I come back she applys for a CR1 ?

or should she come to Egypt and get married nd apply for a CR1 ?

because we dont want no more wait ... we have been knowing each other for 14 months, but to be honest she didnt like Egypt so much

and when we decided one day -when she was here- to get married , we needed a marriage affidavit from the embassy, and we had to wait till 28th of the month -imppssible of course !

Now please any one tell me what to do .... please !!!

What I understand is that she will send the following to USCIS

* 340 $ cheque

* I129f + cover letter + question 18 answer

* my i 325g and her i 325 g

* proof that we met in person

* my photo + her photo

* her birth certificate + passport copy + divorce decree

I didnt give her a written intent to get married within 90 days of entering the states

am I missing anything ?

the I 129f and I 325g are really difficult documents ... is it a must to tell her parents birthdates ? and is it a must to get information on where we lived and worked in the past 5 years ?

thank you very very very very much !

Both are good visas. The K1 would be faster for you, as she can petition you now, you don;t have to wait for another meeting and marriage before filing. But the CR-1 has the advantage that you can work and travel right away, which is a pretty big thing. It looks like you are set on the K1 already though- be aware that if you file, then marry, you need to start again and loose the money and time spent waiting so far.

Yes, you must fill in all the information. If you truly do not know the exact birthday of your parents, you can put the month, or at least the year, and explain in a cover letter why you do not know. Surely you know where you lived and worked the last 5 years?

sure I do know all these info but my baby got confused and cannot get the exact info because she tried alot of jobs and went to Canada twice so this is a bit confusing for her, is there any government records for this info ? and can I send my letter of intent when they require my package in Egypt along with the affidavit of support ?

one more thing which why I need to go to the states for a visit to help her, she wants to move to another location and we think we should choose it together plus she might need money, can we petition now and change her adress later ?

Thank you very much

The government has some records, but nothing you can request,

Try to re-construct from documents you have such as old leases, Facebook timeline, delivery addresses stored at amazon.com and similar.

You need to send a letter of intent now, with the petition, and another later, for the interview.

Yes, you can apply for a tourist visa. It is unlikely that it will be approved (young single man from your country), but all you have to loose is the application fee- a denial will not impact the K1.

1. You notify whereever the petition is (USCIS. NVC etc)

2. Of course you can say that. Doesn't mean you will be approved. They will wonder why she doesn;t have friends or family that can help her move, or hire a moving company.
