That is just a plain bullsh*t, first come first serve policy only applies in Mcdonalds and in any other fast food chains. content.gif

Seriously ? have you been to a Mc Do in Philippines its not first come first served its if you are not brushing up against the person in front of you 3-4 people can manage to wedge themselves in there

I wholeheartedly recommend contacting your Congress person. I had been waiting over 193 days and after writing a letter to my Congressman I had an approval after 4 days. This is not to say that you will instantly get approved but it helped in my situation.

I've seen a lot of approvals from CSC this past few days and noticed that they are starting to approved January filers. I just don't think that it is right to approved those who just filed this year and forget the filed petitions from last year. A lot of people are still waiting, some waited to 7-9 months to get approvals. That is just unfair. sad.png

the reason why you see that is so their average #'s stay in tack. They can't stay at approving petitions that are 7, 8 , 9 months or older so if they throw in a few recent guess what? They are still within normal processing time.

No not fair. But if you didn't know the government is just about a numbers game. Sorry just hang on your petition will come up.

Honestly Im just happy that they are pushing though more then 3 a week again. If your that unhappy call USCIS and complain tell them its not fair and show them the paper work. It is part of their job to pass first come first serve. Well show they you are not first.

Im from beginning of October with an RFE of 4/23 and still no updates!!!

What about us??????

Why don't you call USCIS? You already got RFE and you sent the evidence, then they were supposed to be in touch with you!

I feel your pain.. But my papers re at h vsc which I approving much slower .i wish it was more even but I guess this website doesn't really reflect the true number of approvals... Over the 5 month mark

I think because so little is actually known about the actual process for each case, it may not actually be "unfair". It may be that certain cases require more work(even if you know it doesnt, they don't know you, and have to follow their own protocols whatever they might be).

I think its a really crappy position to be in, but I think it may just look unfair. Super irritating and hard on people that want to be together(believe me I get it!). All that aside, we only get to see the timeline, not what goes on behind the scenes or why. sad.png

We all applied for the same benefit so first come first serve is the only way to do this fairly. People who applied 3 months after you should not be allowed to get approvals without an expedite request approval. In my opinion, nobody should get approved before anybody, 3 months or 1 day...

But that's assuming that all the people a) work on the same case to make sure no ones case is just naturally faster that gets approved first and or that b) every case is handled the exact same way or c)that all workers work at exactly the same pace. None of those options are efficient and/or possible.

Believe me I'm not saying they are anywhere close to perfect, and there has to be room for improvement but there is no way for it to be EXACTLY first come first serve. For these and multiple other reasons. :(

If they are performing background checks, they also have to wait on responses from the country they are asking it from. It may not all be the CSCs fault either.

Well I'd say they've met that goal! It never would have occurred to me, seriously not in my wildest nightmares, that they would choose to process February and March filers while letting September (and July? and August? and definitely October and November) sit completely stagnant -- simply because their average can now be reported as nice and low. That's certainly CREATIVE and ingenious, but of course insidiously evil and infuriatingly unfair. Congrats CSC, one out of four goals met!
