K-1 Quick Question

Hi all, I've been a reader on here for a couple weeks now, but never really came across this question. My fiance and I forgot to date stamp both sets of passport photos and the photographic evidence we sent with our petition. Does this mean a reason for an RFE or possible denial? My fiance (the USC) is currently in U.S Boot Camp so he would either have to have his parents reply to the RFE on his behalf or he waits til he graduates in August to send the requested fixes. Many thanks and wishful speedy approvals for all of you!!

Passport pics do not need to be dated, as for other pics they do not necessarily need to be dated either. The most important thing is that you provided primary evidence that you have met within 2 years of filing. So in regards to the pictures I would not expect an RFE for dates. Also, with your petition at VSC, your fiancé will likely be home prior to the recipt of any potential RFE.

Thanks. We sent in over 60 photos of us together, and with him and my family at family events (BBQ's, meals, birthdays) also.. along with plane tickets and restaurant receipt tickets including the one from the night he proposed, and also a few letters we sent to each other before he visited. However we forgot to include skype and facebook messages, with one message including a screen cap of a call of 25 hours we had. Hope we included enough evidence. Thanks for the reply :)

We did not date stamp our passport photos and our petition was approved without any RFE'S, and we sent in only 8 photographs of us being together, our plane tickets, and a couple of photocopies of cards we sent to each other and the envelope with the date stamped on it, we didn't include any Skype or Facebook messages and we received no RFE'S. So you should be fine!! Besides when you receive your NOA2 and you get your interview then you need to provide updated proof of ongoing relationship, like plane tickets, and letters along with a new letter of intent from the US Citizen only!

So i wouldn't worry yourself to much about it, they can see who is genuine and who is not!!

Good luck!!

Instructions for I-129F state that passport photographs should be signed (see 6B http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf ) so could be a possible RFE.

We sent the petition off within 30 days of him coming to see me anyway, and the dates he came are listed on the plane ticket and intent to marry letters. Hopefully we'll be okay!!!

I think the name and A-number on the back is mostly a practical matter for if the small photos slip out and fall on the floor or the bottom of a mail sack. Then they could easily know which file they belong to. It's probably nothing that would get you rejected unless your photos got separated from the application and they would have to RFE for photos.

Each of our forms and paperwork included were separated into plastic wallets and labelled with our names and D.O.B on, and both sets of pictures were put into an envelope with our names and D.O.B on also. Hopefully no RFE.
