Ok, I've read all the info about what documents and stuff to send...and now I think I have it all, but am paranoid that I'm forgetting something...so just thought I would write down what all I have and if anyone can tell me what I may be missing, that would be much appreciated! I've included multiples of pretty much every document.

1. Updated Letter Of Intent (signed and dated)

2. I-134 (2 copies signed and dated)

3. Bank Statement (no employment letter available)

4. 2012, 2011, 2010 Tax Returns & W2s

5. Passport bio page and stamped page when I was last in the Phils. (bio page for proof of my citizenship cuz I was born in the Philippines)

6. copies of my birth certificate (for CFO?)

7. Copies of NOA1, NOA2, NVC Letter with MNL number, & Letter from Embassy that he can schedule an interview (this actually is addressed to him but the embassy sent me a copy as well)

8. Copy of I-129F Petition Packet

9. Cell phone bills, pictures, letters (ongoing relationship proof)

My dad is my co-sponsor, so these are his documents.

1. Passport bio page

2. Certificate of Naturalization

3. 2012, 2011, 2010 Tax Returns & W2s

4. I-134 signed (2 copies signed and dated)

5. I-864 (2 copies signed and dated...I know this is not needed yet but seems other people showed this with a cosponsor in Manila)

6. Info from TheWorkNumber.com (website his employer uses for employment verification.....the info I could get is not official really, but it does show his employer and address, job title, employment status as "active", rate of pay hourly, amount per pay period since 2009-present, yearly total pay 2008-present)

7. Statement from my dad regarding being my co-sponsor and his employment info and how we calculated his salary because even being full time, it's not like the normal 36-40 hrs a week...

I think that is everything....please let me know if there's anything else I should add...hoping these will be all the documents my fiance needs from me for the embassy interview and CFO seminar. Thanks a ton! :)

You need to do the I-864 also as you have it from your dad.

3. Bank Statement (no employment letter available) Don't need it unless you are trying to show assets.

4. 2012, 2011, 2010 Tax Returns & W2s The embassy will only want the most recent tax return

5. Passport bio page and stamped page when I was last in the Phils. (bio page for proof of my citizenship cuz I was born in the Philippines)

6. copies of my birth certificate (for CFO?)

7. Copies of NOA1 don't need, NOA2 don't need, NVC Letter with MNL number (SLEC will want a copy of that for the medical), & Letter from Embassy that he can schedule an interview (this actually is addressed to him but the embassy sent me a copy as well - Curious did he get the letter from the embassy? Few do, so I ask.)

8. Copy of I-129F Petition Packet (not needed for the embassy, but CFO will want to know your mother's maiden name which is listed on the G-325 maybe send a copy of that for the info it contains.)

9. Cell phone bills, pictures, letters (ongoing relationship proof)

My dad is my co-sponsor, so these are his documents.

1. Passport bio page

Good luck with the embassy accepting your co-sponsor (the I-864 has helped others), they have been accepting a few lately.

There is a link in my signature below for the K-1 process.

Hank is right. Co-sponsors are rarely being accepted for K1 Visa's lately. You might want to consider getting married in the Philippines and then applying for a CR-1 Visa. It takes longer but at least all co-sponsors are accepted given they meet the requirements.

Good luck,

Justin

There have been a number of cases where the embassy has accepted a co-sponsor with the K-1 over the past months. Word back from some is that the I-864 helped in the decision making process. Still no guarantee, not like with the IR/CR-1 where they have to accept a co-sponsor.

That's great news! Hopefully they will accept your co-sponsor OP. Good luck on your journey :)

Thanks for the replies, Hank and Justin! ... Hank, how did I know you would be the first to respond? hehehe...but seriously, thanks though for your help and replies to this and all my previous questions...and yes, I guess we have kinda taken the "scenic" route...was originally thinking we would have to get an extension for the NOA2 expiration date...but then decided to go the co-sponsor route...so hopefully all will work out. :)

Oh..and yes, Hank, he did receive the letter from the Embassy. So I'm sure I didn't need to send a copy but did just in case he loses his or something lol...

Another question...should he pay the visa fee before filling out any of the DS forms? We were skyping last night trying to fill out the forms, but somewhere I read the DS-156 (the electronic filing one I believe) prints out with a visa receipt number :/ ...something like that...I can't remember exactly what I read....so I didn't know if it matters if you have to pay before filling out that form or what. He was able to fill out the DS-156K & DS-157 since those were just regular pdf files. He is going to pay his visa fee tomorrow, so I guess it won't really matter anyways, but I was just wondering. :)

Nope you don't have to pay BPI before completing the DS-156, what that form does is print out with a bar code all the information completed in the form.

Did you fiancé print out the deposit receipt from the embassy website to take to BPI?
