""Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing.""

on their website show 5 month procedures timeline , but right here almost everybody not on time . a lot of people take 6 month , 7 month without RFE?

I am so worry about it , I hope I can take her to us before april 2014 .

i would definitely recommend writing your congressman and/or senators as soon as you passed the USCIS goal date. When i sent my letter to the congressman, the application was approved in 4 days

Nix the suggestion of writing to your Congressman about a normal waiting time. The time-frames posted by USCIS are fairly accurate, and you can call the hotline to inquire if you are unsure. My NOA2 was advertised to be about 5.5 months, and it took about 5.5 months. The problem with the website is that they do not enter your case status electronically for you to see until they actually review it. If they did, they'd probably get fewer calls. But perhaps they don't have the manpower in Vermont to do this, so instead call reps from elsewhere answer calls & provide usual wait times, unless you ask for a supervisor for a reason such as "no case status listed on website" in which case they may transfer your call to Vermont and look up on a computer what cases are currently being reviewed - and give you a guesstimate of about how long yours will take. Unless you wait the normal time, it usually does not help to call except to assure you that they have not lost your paperwork.

Congrats on starting the process, but this is the start and you do have a while to wait. Use this time wisely. If you stay on top of things you should be able to bring her over well before April of next year. Patience in this process is important. I would not check your status daily, because it can drive you crazy. Good luck!

My service center is also Vermont, i called a few days ago since my case has gone over the 6 months and i still haven't received an NOA2.

They told me that they are running 30 days behind and that i should expect receiving it by June.

If their time frame is of 5.5-6 months and in my case that came and went and on top of that i am supposed to wait another month, then yeah it's one of the slowest centers at least to me, because i've seen people from CSC getting approved quite fast. (4-5months)

Regardless of what anybody says, i think it's important to fight and defend your petition anyway you can...which means, if you waited your suggested time and still haven't heard any info, do as you need to get some answers...i for example, called my congressman today and im forwarding the proper paperwork to have some extra help, i couldn't hurt to try right?

Good Luck in your journey!!!

I am a Jan 25 NOA1 filer. I will be lucky if my case gets approved by August at VSC. Please remember USCIS does not count 1 st month as 1. They count 1st month as month "0" , then second month as 1st. So 5 month processing is actually 6 months. Just be patient.

Yep, Vermont is slow. I'm a Jan 17th filer and I'm expecting my NOA2 mid-late July. We've contacted our congressman who will be contacting USCIS and when we hit the 5 month mark, we will write back again and also respond to our Senator. Vermont is always historically the slower one, though it has yo-yo'd in recent times. Before last July 18th, California was generally around 4-6 months, and Vermont has always been 5-6 months+. There's only so much heat on CSC currently because from July 18th onwards, they stopped completely for the best part of 8 months.

AOS posted - 02/18/2014

NOA1 - 03/04/2014
Biometrics - 03/28/2014
EAD in post - 5/5/2014

EAD in hand - 5/10/2014
Interview waiver letter received - 6/9/2014

Card production notice - 1/10/2015

ROC mailed - 10/11/2016

ROC received at CSC - 10/18/2016

There are only nine more days of approval time this month...I dont see VSC getting thru Oct let alone November by June 2013...(there are 59 unapproved Oct and 85 unapproved November petitions...) That puts alot of filers at 8 months in June....ranting33va.gif

Oh mann dont scare me like that hahah..the way I look at it is according to Igors there are still even plenty of unapproved june july and aug filers ...so im assuming a large portion of "whats left" are people who arent updating / abandoned petition. Im guessing thise probably account for maybe even galf of that 59 in October..

So im kinda hoping may will see the end of November approvals and maybe June will start the Decembers

Michey, if your case is at VSC, then your probably looking at 6 months at the very least.

Well,

It was a very NON productive day for VSC K1 filers today. We are now down to eight days left this month. Anyone want to wager if they get thru October 2012 by June 1st 2013? ranting33va.gif

People say "at least VSC is slow, but steady" Let me know when the "steady" part comes in...crying.gif I cannot wait for my meeting with my Congressman next week.
