i just have a question: we have a MNL case number already but when i inquired at NVC, they said that the case still has to be forwarded to the US Embassy in Manila, we're still undergoing administrative processing - when does this petition usually get to the consulate? also, is packet 3 being delivered via email nowadays? when should i start calling USEM in Manila to ff up our case? i checked our status online on the USEM Manila website and it says the petition is in transit to the consular section and that NVC has provided us with an interview date. we were approved as of April 26. we got the hard copy in the mail around May 2. sorry if i ask some silly questions. but thanks for all the info in advance.

Ours went through 'additional processing' and took them 3 weeks to forward our case to USEM. It could be longer or shorter. NVC will send you another letter stating that they've completed the process and forwarded to the consulate.

From NVC completion, it will take at least 1 week to get to the consulate. NVC will not setup your interview, you or beneficiary will have to pay $240 visa fee (paid in peso) to any BPI and either of you will call the number on the link I've provided or set it up online as well with the valid receipt number from BPI and MNL case #

thank you for the info - regarding those online docs - we'll be the ones downloading it or should we wait for the official letter from the US embassy in manila to be forwarded to the applicant before we could download those? as it is stated in one of the guides here on vj? we'll be notified by the embassy, yes?

Not everyone get the letter from USEM, I did but most of the members here did not. If ever you get the letter from USEM, it will tell you to access the same link I just gave you.

You fill it out online and print or handwrite all info then send it to her or have her fill it out herself from her home or internet cafe to save postage or shipping. It's mostly beneficiary's info and have to ink sign it anyways.

If you're as OCD as I am with documents, I suggest you fill it out yourself and spend money on shipping LOL
