Marriage license in different state than stated K-1 address

I know I have posted about my address before but I am confused as to what is the best one to put. I am currently going to school in Rhode Island and just signed a 14-month lease for an apartment here (which will be the place my fiance and I will live when he first arrives). However, I am currently still have a New York State Driver's License and have usually used my parent's house as my home address. Also, I do not know one my fiancé comes if we will be married in New York or Rhode Island (I need to investigate this further). Any suggestions???

Not quite sure what the actual question is but here goes...

You can get married in any state. You'll just need the marriage certificate for adjustment of status after the wedding. Depending on where you get married, processing times for it vary.

As for the address, if you're more comfortable receiving mail at your parents house in NY, use that as your mailing address. You will still need to list your current RI address for the places you've lived.

As for the drivers license, you should check the residency requirements for RI. For example, in Florida youre considered a resident once youve lived/worked in the state 6 months and 1 day. Most states do require you change licenses once you make that state your residence. There are some exclusions for students, but it's been about 10 years since I've been one so I'm not up on those.
