In the guide and the application for N400, it states: "Time as a Resident in aUSCIS District or State:Most people must live in the USCIS district or State in which they are
applying for at least 3 months beforeapplying."
Does this include trips outside of your state, or abroad during those three months for less than 3 weeks? I still was renting my apartment and had no intention of leaving or moving.

No.

Basically you need to live where you live for at least 90 days prior to filing. That doesn't mean visits (forget out of the country, think a weekend to Disneyland for example... that would be the same as out of the country, irrelevant).

Someone was denied citizenship that I read about recently because he moved to a new state and THEN filed. He hadn't lived in his new state long enough so was denied and had to reapply.
