As we all know, not all VJers fill in their timeline after they get their NOA2, so I was trying to get a little historical perspective to see what the numbers looked like. Sadly I could only find listings going back to last june, so it's not as thorough as I'd like, but I went through the list and compiled the percentage of cases that have either received their NOA2 or an RFE since June and here's what I found

June: 93%

July: 86%

August: 78%

September: 80%

October: 75%

November: 51%

December: 67%

January: 16%

I stopped with January, because they have only just begun there recently.

There are many reasons why someone wouldn't complete a timeline..some people drop their cases or change their minds, other people may have circumstances that got them denied and didn't enter that information, or they could just be happy to get the approval and until they need VJ again, they just forget about the place and happily go about their lives. One thing is for sure, it's nearly impossible to get a month with 100%

I think that looking at this list, we could infer that months with at least 85% there may be a straggler or 2, but those months are mostly complete.

The months in the 70-84% range are likely mostly adjudicated with still some active VJers waiting on their case to be adjudicated, but not too many. Anything in the proper time frame, below 70% and you have to figure that those months should still be getting active approvals regularly.

This may not be "news" to a lot of the regulars here, but I thought it was an interesting way to look at Igor's list and understand it.

I have also noticed that many people are still having their accounts but haven't been using them anymore so it's just accumulating here and make us think that they still haven't been approved.

On the original Igor's list created by Igor on a Berkely website, it was just a long list based on VJ timelines. You had a number based on NOA1 date and worked your way up the list. If somebody got approved, they dropped off and everybody moved up a notch. Sometimes you went backward if several people discovered VJ and squeezed in ahead of you because of an earlier filing date. K1 threads were all abuzz with "I moved from #250 on Igor's to #245". Anyway, nobody ever got to #2 or even #20. Usually if you got to about #100, you were getting approved. Same problem because people didn't update timelines. Every now and then the inactive timelines were purged and you would take a big leap up the old list.

Ewok created his own version of Igor's with month separation, options for selecting various views, and count totals. The original list is no longer on the Berkely.edu website or it has moved to another server from my bookmark.

I knew about the graph, but it's only approvals. I wanted to know the same data but also include RFE information into the totals, since that means the case has been worked on by an adjudicator, but is awaiting further information.

During the stoppage that lasted for several months due to DACA, many frustrated petitioners signed up here. Once it passed, they no longer had a reason to maintain their timeline, since they only signed up out of such frustration anyways. I'm guessing this is why the months of July through December may be much lower than 100% than we've seen in the past on Igor's list.

How often is Igor's List updated? Is it real time?

It seems to change whenever anyone updates their timeline. So it's real time in the aspect that when someone updates their timeline it is quickly reflected on Igor's list, but it's not connected to USCIS in any way, shape or form, so it's not when cases are actually approved.
