K1 - German Criminal Record for Interview: must it be with "Apostille Certification"?

Hi there!

I'm brazilian, but lived for two years in Germany a few years ago.
Once I just discovered that for the my K1 interview I will need, besides my Brazilian Criminal Records, also from the Countries I've lived more than 6 months, I started the German process.

I called the German consulate, and they've asked me if the USA demands "Apostille" Certificated Criminal Records, or just the simple one. They actually assume that the simple version would be fine for the US, but they asked me to confirm that.

Does any one know about that? I hope the normal version will be enough, once the Apostille version takes much longer to be ready.

I just need to know if USA requires Apostille Certificates or not... It does not matter if it's from Germany or other Country.

No, all you need is a regular einfaches (privates) Führungszeugnis. Mine cost 13 Euros.
