I read the i-864 and it was a pain to copy off of the document and paste here, Mod should allow pasting images. But anyways. what i make of it is if you provide the turbotax one in the send packet stage which you did, you're suppose to include w-2 forms or 1099 forms as well. Then later they can send send you a RFE to get the Federal transcript or bring it to the interview. So I think you should have replied their RFE with the federal transcript. Please go through the excerpt, I know the language can get confusing. But give us a shout and we'll help.

Good luck.

from USCIS-"i-864instructions.pdf"

7. Item Number 14. Federal Income Tax Information.

You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income

tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to

maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns

for the three most recent years.

You are not required to have the IRS certify the transcript or photocopy unless specifically instructed to do so by a

Government official; a plain transcript or photocopy is acceptable. Telefile tax records are not acceptable proof of

filing.

Do not submit copies of your State income tax returns. Do not submit any tax returns that you filed with any foreign

government unless you claim that you were not required to file a Federal tax return with the United States government

and you wish to rely on the foreign return solely to establish the amount of your income that is not subject to tax in the

United States.

If you provide a photocopy of your tax return(s), you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099

that relates to your return(s). Do not include copies of these Forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your return(s)

rather than a photocopy.

Actually, they asked for the federal tax return for 2012. So we just printed from turbofax. Com

Sorry for the delay ...

Interview was different because we were video recorded and another guy sat in the back taking notes ...
Questions that were asked :

1.When/Where did you meet?
2.Have you traveled to England to meet his family? How many times?
3. Do you have a drivers US license ( husband) ? :: Random?? ::
4. When did you enter the US ( husband) ?
5. How did I get citizenship ( me -wife ) ?

My husband said I was nervous but I really dont think I was. I found the need to explain a few things like ... where we met and when I went to England to meet his family. But all in all it was pretty easy.We had a flight leaving in the afternoon and we showed her those tickets.

I printed off facebook pictures bc it showed a time stamp and comments . She said " Thats a GREAT idea and I wish more people would do this" ....

Social Networking may help us all in the END :)

Appointment lasted 25 minutes ....

Thanks everyone !!!!

We had an interview yesterday. Went in the office at 1pm, very busy. Came out the last one 4.20pm. The interview went smooth (in my opinion) but we didn't get approved on spot. :( I don't know if its a good thing or bad thing. I'm so stressed out. I tried to check status online its still 'testing and interview'.
