Congrats!

how did you get your drivers license so fast?!

Actually when you get your EAD you just need that and your NOA1

I'm French and I'm lucky because for French, German an Korean we don't have to pass a writing or road test. Just a vision test (more than easy) and they convert your license.

It was a very busy stressful week but it's Finaly DONE !!!

I forgot you need 2 proves of residency ( your EAD and bank statement are ok)

Hello,

I send my package (i 485, i 130 and i 765) and received NOA for all 3. My application status for i130 and i765 on uscis website says its under intinal review but My I-485 Case Status says "Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location". I am adjusting from F-1 and wondering if this is normal that the processing will be done at NBC.

Thanks in advance guys

I just noticed you had got an RFE, so that's what pushed it back probably less than 15 days. Also you mentioned you sent Tax returns in the first place, They ask for Transcript or official copy of returns received from IRS. I had requested transcripts before filing, while i was waiting for other papers too. took a month to come. Is free though.

Hello guys this is Car0593's wife. He is really bad at explaining or even talking in detail so I will do everyone a favor by explaining how everything went down.Okay, lets start with last night. We couldn't sleep thinking about what they were going to ask us. We stayed up basically asking questions making sure we knew absolutely everything about each other. We had the interview at 10:05 am today, Monday August 5th, 2013. He woke me up at 7:30 am and we arrived to immigration at 9:45 am. We were waiting for 10 am to go inside with the lawyer. It was 10:01 am and the lawyer had not showed up. That got us a little worried. As we were showing our licenses he walked in. He was a very well known lawyer in the building so he walked in like it was his house. So that was a plus since he was on the good side of everyone (luckily even the interviewers).Alright, so we sat down just talking and waiting. I must admit I was pretty nervous but not for me but mostly for my husband because he tends to over-talk when he gets nervous, so I kept thinking that maybe he would say something that would get them on our asses. (excuse the expression, I was raised in NYC) Then they called his name...Our lawyer knew the interviewer, her first name was francy. She was this big, white lady with the nicest smile on her face. I felt absolutely thankful that we were welcomed with such a nice smile, it calmed me down a lot for sure.We walked in the room and before we sat we had to swear oath, "Raise your right hand and swear that what you are about to say is the truth and nothing but the truth." (something like that) She asked for our licenses to make sure that it was us who were sitting in the interview room. She explained to us that she was going to look over the case and then she started. She asked my husband if his name, date of birth, and address were the same as in the application. Then she did the same for my application. She looked at the sponsors and all the paper work. She asked for his passports and said that he was blonde when he was little like her son. She said that his hair color is also brown now like hers, besides the white hairs but that's his fault too. She was pretty much joking around the whole time. She even said that my passport picture was not that nice. (Great.)We had made a whole album with pictures of our wedding day and of the past three years we were together. We tried to only pick a few but I could only get it down to 400 pictures. We told her that and she said she would only need to see three... that would have been nice to know before I printed them all out.Okay, so then she closed the application folder and asked, "where is the evidence for this case?"The lawyer then showed all the evidence we had which included life insurance, medical insurance, dental insurance, credit card bills, bank statements, flight itineraries from trips together, and a pre-marital course certificate we completed from our church. She saw that we had taken a trip to key west together so she started talking about how she loves it and how much fun it was. That was a breather. She skimmed through all the papers, closed it and said:"Okay, well I am going to approve this case. You will receive your welcome letter in 2-3 days and your green card in 2-3 weeks."She said it in such a monotone voice, we both looked at each other to assure what we had just heard. It didn't quite sink in until he said thank you.WOW!! I couldn't believe what I had just heard. She then explained that he was approved for two year residence because we had only been married for a short time. In two years we have to come back with evidence that we are still living "happily ever after". (She said it just like that too). We stood up and said thank you and bye. The minute I walked out I started to cry of the happiness. My husband eyes were all teary as well. We hugged each other for a good half minute in pure happiness because we had accomplished something we thought was very far away.My husband is a resident of the United States of America. That is amazing. In total, we were probably in there ten minutes. She didn't even look through the album we had brought. She didn't ask a single question about our relationship. I was ready for her to ask when was the last time we had sex or on which side of the bed he sleeps on. Even who closed the door this morning. I was ready for all that, but thank God this interview went smoothly.I want to thank you guys for all the congratulation and for standing by us through this process. I wish everyone the best and not to worry because where there is LOVE, anything can happen.
