It's not necessary to submit an NVC letter to St. Lukes in order to be admitted for the medical. If you scheduled an Embassy interview appointment online, use the printout of the interview appointment confirmation. If you scheduled an Embassy interview appointment by phone, use the Embassy's confirmation email.

Also, some VJ members have been admitted for their medical at St. Lukes by verbally using their MNL case number, and nothing else.

Agree with Tahoma. You just need the interview confirmation letter from the Embassy/Consulate.

They want to see that you've paid the $240 to the Consulate. Ha, ha!

The petitioner should receive the NVC letter in a few days. You can scan the letter and send to your fiancee.

At the entrance, the guard will check for the Embassy appointment letter but when the beneficiary gets to the window for initial processing, the St. Lukes personnel will ask for a copy of the NVC letter with the MNL# on it. I did my medical last January 2013. Some people who did not bring the NVC letter were asked to bring it the next day.

Good luck!

Recently, SLEC have been asking for the NVC letter that has the applicant's MNL case number.& name. One can still proceed with the 1st day of medical & will just have to bring the letter the next day.

During my parents medical last month, SLEC told them to submit a NVC letter the next day.. I think it wouldn't have mattered if they submitted it the next day or not because they are already done with the 1st day of the medical. But my parents sure didn't wanna take the chance. lol

IR-5 and a few others get an instructions letter from NVC, K-1 do not... that NVC Instructions letters is what is listed on the SLEC website, as for others they state the embassy letter. At the end of sentence listing that requirement they state - if available.
