Hi guys,

We received first NOA receipts and Biometricts appointment yesterday. I saw that there is an Alien Number assigned to me. At this point can I apply for driver licence, bank account etc. with this number? Or should I wait for the SSN to be assigned?

Thanks.

Btw. As far as I know valid Photo ID will be required for the Driver Licence and my passport is expired now. I have my old Driver licence also expired. Can I still use any of these for the driver licence application or Biometrics appointment?

You should not have an expired passport at anytime during the process.

So I am lost how you are managing the process with an expired passport.

DL laws vary from state to state some states would not issue you DL until you have GC.
