Oh why me.. WHY ME!!!!

Yesterday our house got broken into (well.. not really broken but someone got in) and stole our change bowls and some cash in the house.... it's so weird that there's nothing different about the stuff and they didnt take anything beside the change, money and my Kenneth Cole weekend bag :crying: (and almost took Bram's new work cloth but I think they forgot) We didnt notice anything different until I need to get some thing next to the change bowl and the bowl wasnt there... our dog also problably welcome them too

I'm now paraniod about every little sounds and movements.. this month i've been soooo unlucky.. the law suit and the theif! :crying:

K-1 = 4 months

AOS = 5 months

I-751 = almost one year

You need to step-up the security of your home. Start with an alarm system that covers windows and doors. It should also report to a monitoring company.

If you can't figure out how they got in... Change the Locks.. If your in a apt. sometimes the management gets lazy and doesn't change the locks from the old tenat .. and also if your in a apt...and there is no sign of forced entry...The landlord will gladly change the locks...if he knows he didn't when you moved in.. Or he can be sued for the loss.. and more trouble.. because he didn't make the property safe and secure..

9/25 Notice date Check cashed 9/25

9/28 I Recieved NOA1(I-797C) in the mail

12/5 NOA2 12/6 but Approved on 12/5 touch

12/15 NVC has received it..Case # issued...

12/19 NVC shipped to Romania

12/22 Romanian Embassy has received an email from NVC that my Petition is on it's way...

12/29 Packet 3 sent to Veronica

1/12 2007 Packet 3 received Dang Holidays..

1/22 Sending all paperwork(I-134,Bank/Employer letters etc..,)..to Veronica per DHL, 3.5lbs...$144 WOW!

1/25 Recieved notice that She needs to pick up my packet in Chisinau..

1/26 Sending Back Packet 3

2/16 Transit Visa to go to Romania for the Interview approved..

2/20 Leaves for Bucharest overnight drive by bus...

We think they got in from the slide door in the back.. it's part our fault that yesterday we forgot to lock it too

The weirdest thing is that they didnt take computer, tv, dvd.... anything.. just my money bowls and my bag..

But the ideas of someone can come in the house scares me so much.... I thought what if i'm alone and i saw someone and they decide to break in and hurt me? (the news yesterday abut Karo's husband company isnt helping either)

We are deffinately going to get alarm system.. I never thought about it coz our house is small... but now it's scares me :(

we live in our own house though.. so I gotta get on Bram's toe to remind him to change the lock and put in the alarm system :lol:

If you are considering an alarm system, you need one that protects windows, doors and provides motion detection.

Windows - glass break or vibration detection.

Doors - Magnetic contacts

Rest of the house - volumetric coverage with passive infrared motion detection (PIR)

Most importantly, it needs to be monitored. Otherwise, who will respond if the alarm is triggered?
