CSC really picking up speed, VSC lagging

well CSC has been moving pretty fast for a bit now, whereas VSC has mostly been keeping a steady pace, so comparativly VSC seems slow

Because CSC has been doing nothing for the 3 months before this push and people were waiting more than 8 months for approval, thus to make their averages be within the guidelines for the end of year review or whatever, they're now working in overdrive mode.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

CSC is also skipping over HUGE numbers of people, please keep that in mind. Just because you see a January filer getting approved, does not mean that they have finished December, or November, or October, or even September, August and July. There are still many people waiting 6, 7, and 8 months for CSC to even touch their case (not even RFE).

Averages mean nothing when there is no logic or order to CSCs progression. It is sickening to see people left behind untouched. I'm sorry that VSC seems slow, but if the alternative is absolute illogic and unfair skips, then I think I'd choose slow and steady!

I disagree. VSC is slow, and there's nothing to indicate that VSC filers don't get left behind either. One VSC filer was waiting a year before he was approved last month, and VSC have left behind half of October and then moved onto November petitions. Neither Service Center operate logically or fairly. CSC is almost done with 2012, whereas VSC still have two and half months left of it to get through so most of us will be waiting 6, 7 and 8 months for VSC to even touch our case, so please keep that in mind as well.

That sucks. Well I just saw someone from CSC who got their NOA1 on December 20th I believe and they already got their NOA2. So either they are moving extremely quickly or they are skipping a lot as mentioned. I feel like VSC is stagnant at this point.

My Congressman's immigration person says that CSC transferred all remaining DACA visa applications to Texas two weeks ago, this may explain the sudden speed-up. Also the newly trained adjudicators are likely coming online now which is probably helping too. She had no explanation for the donut hole of petitions from August-November that have been left behind though.
