My fiancee is set to get her Passport tomorrow . She waited so long to get the SSS ID that her Police Clearance has expired . Is that needed as a requirement to get her passport ? Also what is the total cost of the passport ? I saw 950p but is there other fees involved ?

I don't think police clearance is required. I only brought NSO birth certificate and 2 valid ID's when I got mine. I payed 1,200 PHP to make the waiting much shorter. So instead of waiting 1 month, I only waited 20 days before my Passport was released.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

I think it's just accepted as a supporting ID . I just wanted to make sure before she went . It's 2 hour trip and this will be the 3rd time there ugh! She is going with Phil Health SSS ID NSO Birth certificate and form 137 . She should be fine I think .

Thanks

hi. i would like to share these links for your reference:

documentary requirements: http://passport.com.ph/requirements#acceptable_ids

passport fees: http://passport.com.ph/passport-fees

Thank you for that . I know it's not a needed ID , but just wanted to make sure . It's a long trip for her to make and she is 8 months pregnant . So far she has made 2 trips been mugged once and turned down for not having ID's 2 times . I pray the 3rd trip is good . She has Voters Certificat not Card (hope thats good) Form 137 and NBI Clerance . She is bringing Poice and Barangry just incase . They expired only yesterday maybe they won't notice :)

I remember when I got my passport I gave them my HS yearbook and my school ID but I was studying then in college. I suggest you bring any ID that has a picture other than the birth certicate and form 137. They would verify a person's identity via picture also.

Like seriously, have someone go with her. It isn't safe to go by herself :( I hope she'll be ok though with the documents.

Which office is ur wife going to?is it the one in Macapagal in Paranaque? or the one in Pasay? there are other offices where she can go too. where u can also set up an appointment online. http://passport.com.ph/set-appointment also when do u need the passport?

i see u just mailed in ur I129F last Feb, so there's still enough time for the passport. so even if it takes one month to get, it's fine. but the sooner it would be released, the better.also i think it is better to set up an appointment in other offices where it don't have much people falling in line. though i know u would also consider where ur fiancee lives and where she will go..but less people, the better.. knowing that she is 8months pregnant..

ohh i see.. ya maybe that one where she is going to is the closest to her place.

anyway, with regard to her SSS ID, that's good...

but the police and barangay clearance, if it expired already, why take the risk of bringing it?

what if they will notice it and say they wont accept it bec it is expired already?

so she will go back again...

the form 137 is ok, but the other two, idk if they will accept it if those are expired already..

maybe she can get a cedula and brgy clearance (these are easy to get and not so expensive)..

it says atleast 3 supporting docs..

with the voter's certification, i am not sure of that as it says in supporting docs listed:

"voter's Certification, list of voters and voter's registration record (for newly issued VRP, please attach receipt" and i think it should be issued atleast 1 year prior to application of passport.

if your fiance has nbi clearance and is not yet expired, she can bring it with her, if she has other valid ID's, would be better too. also she has to bring her birth certificate..

In my experience,I brought my birth certificate, school ID, cedula, barangay clearance, NBI clearance,SSS E1, Transcript of record, prc card, postal ID; the person verifying my info and processing my application only looked at my birth certificate, my ID's and my NBI... the rest not.. but idk how it works in Tacloban so better to be prepared.

do not bring expired docs as ur fiancee is just risking of going back again.. she is lucky if they wont notice the expiration date. but the dfa people are a lil strict.. i hope everything will be ok once she gets back in Tacloban

to sum it up, your fiancee has the ff:

-SSS Digitalized ID (a valid ID- this is ok)

-Philhealth card (the philhealth number is actually in the SSS ID already... the SSS has a unified number which include the Philhealth number, so not sure if this is needed)

-Form 137 (supporting doc 1 - this is ok)

-NBI Clearance (supporting doc 2 - this is ok)

-Voter's Certificate (supporting doc 3 - not sure if OK)

-Police Clearance (supporting doc 4-expired, not sure if OK)

-Barangay Clearance (supporting doc 5 -expired, not sure if ok)

-Birth certificate (this is needed)

so 1 acceptable ID and 5 supporting docs (3, aren't sure if ok)

she is good to go. but im not sure if they would ask her 3 supporting docs.. 2 in supporting docs are ok but the others, not sure..

i hope they will just get her NBI and SSS ID and Birth Cert.. then she will be ok
