My wife name is (first) Jane (mid) Loan (last) Kilday

on the back of her green card it all spells out correctly, but on the front of green card her surname is Kilday and given is Jane L.

So how do I write on the N-400 part 1 question 2 as "your name as it appears exactly on permanent resident card" for given name and middle name?

I have 2 choices: Given name is Jane and mid name is L or Given name is Jane L and no middle name.

Thanks.

They also abreviated my wife's middle name on her green card, but we sure wrote it in her I-485. As we did on that I-751, and the N-400, full middle name.

Her certificate has her full middle name printed on it as does her US passport. Maybe they abbreviated just on her long gone green card because they don't have the space.

Ha, I see we ignored that Part 1B where is says exactly like your permanent resident card, but kind of a contradiction, says Full Middle Name, so that is what we put.

Her full middle name is Consuelo, but they only put the "C" on her green card.

Never caught this before, never made any difference, wasn't even brought up during her interview. Another goof up by Emilio, a Cuban refugee put in charge of the newly formed USCIS under the newly formed Homeland Security by Bush because Emilo helped him win the election. He really messed up the immigration forms from how they were under the INS. Three acting directors later and a new permanet one, still not corrected.

I agree. We wrote the full name because that is how it will appear on the certificate and passport. I wanted it to match the foreign passport and too.

Should make a correction, in part 1A, typed in my wifes First, Middle, Married last name. That is what they used on her certificate.

In Part 1B, was like her green card. had her first name, middle name. maiden hame, and married name. Kind of a custom of her home country and found that confusing here, so did drop her maiden name. No problem with that either.

But still typed in her full middle name in part1B, not just the initial as in her green card, still no problem with that.
