Taking my baby to the interview

My i751 interview is coming up. I expected it because I filed a divorce waiver. I am not afraid because I entered into this marriage with the full intent to start a life together and we have a 2 year old to show for it.

Anyway, my interview is really early in the morning. Its to early for me to drop my baby off at day care and my other baby sitter may or may not be available then. Can I just take my baby to the interview? I do not know what to do but I am not missing or rescheduling that interview for anything.

Your opinion please

Yes you can bring the baby. Lots of babys at our local office all the time.

When I asked about bringing Adam age 2 1/2 they said no. We wanted to bring our kids so after the interview we could haul butt to the airport for our Disney trip. We figured the 2 older could sit outside and we would take Adam in with us. I called the national number and the lady told me no children are allowed to be in the interview rooms.

Hi. I went to the interview yesterday and took my baby with me. They are okay with bringing kids as long as they do not cause an interruption in the interview. I'd brought some stuff to keep my baby busy.

Considering the harsh treatment I got last time, I thought this lady was fairly nice. I asked me just about everything. How we met, proposal, our life together, what led to the divorce - the usual. I did not bring tax returns so they asked that I mail those in. Other than that, everything else was okay. I think they want to see more stuff on paper where our financed are co-mingled. I agree, I should have had all that. Its that my ex was never the most financially responsible person so I would handle all the finances. But I'll go through all our stuff and find something. Any suggestions would help :)

Overall, I am okay with how things went. Once I give them all they want, I'm sure everything will be okay

Seems like it went smooth. Did they give you a date when you need to send those items by?

Go ahead and order IRS tax transcripts right now and you should receive them in 7-10 days. Request as many years back as you can

- joint bank statements, all the monthly statements spanning the length of the marriage will also be helpful.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll order the IRS transcripts. I closed the bank account me and the ex used to share but I walked into the local branch office and they were happy to print out my statements yay!

They gave me 84 days. I'll try and get this out to them in the next month or so. I just want this to be over with :)
