Abdul Aziz believes he was standing right next to a shooter Sunday when gunmen opened fire at a Mother's Day parade in New Orleans, injuring 19 people.

"Everyone around me, except me, was shot," he said. "I was pretty fortunate to get away."

Aziz, 33, a photojournalist, was at the second-line parade when gunfire broke out at the corner of Frenchman Street and North Villere Street.

In boston it was blame the bombers not the bombs.....why not blame the gang bangers and instead of the guns? Just will not fit the lefts talking points. Just another day in the hood..where a dysfunctional part of society strikes again. Why are there not thousands of police knocking down doors like in boston to find these terrorist......When you have 3 people shooting up a crowd of people it should be a terrorist act.against the city .

In boston it was blame the bombers not the bombs.....why not blame the gang bangers and instead of the guns? Just will not fit the lefts talking points. This must be the twilight zone, because I actually agree with this statement.

And to answer your latter question, look at where this took place, New Orleans. If this happened in an area with little to no minorities, they would have caught the shooters by dinner time yesterday.

I would agree that the seriousness of this shooting, the senseless mass violence are similar.

We diverge in opinions when you try to pretend that the silly gun-nut 'ban pressure cooker' nonsense gets tossed out as a cheap swipe at the nebulous "left" that you constantly attack has anything to do with anyone's response to either violent tragedy.

We can agree the shooter's in the OP should be hunted as as ruthlessly as the Boston bombers though.
