K1....AP HOW LONG ... ??

hellow everyone...

need your advice on below matter.

i had my interview in US embassy islamabad on feb 2013. i was told that " you have done good in your interview but unfortunately we have to put u on AP and hopfully it will last in 2 months " its already 3 months and my case is still in AP. have any one got any idea about their average time and how long do they take specifically for K1 visa.

Oh man, that is a hard one to answer, ap can last from a coup,e days to several months and unfortunately ere is no way to predict the length it will be. Just make sure that if the embassy asks for any additional information from you that you provide it in full and in a timely manner.

there is no time limit,my intervw was in december 2012,and co told me my ap will over in 2-3month but its 6th month start and still waiting,so just pray and wait

Same here going on our 4th month on AP., and hurtfully all we can do is pray and continue waiting. The process is so, so long and HARD, but know that you are not the only one, we are with you going through the same.

Hi,

I had my interview for L1-B blanket visa( Nonimmigrant visa) with my spouse and one year old daughter mine is also under AP for almost 3 weeks now, Can anyone tell is there any time difference in AP for immigrant and nonimmigrant visas.

As they signed my I-129s form told me to show them when you land in US.

Please reply if you have any information...

My fiance had his interview in Oct 2012 and we are still in AP with no updates to our case as of late .

We are all just waiting , inshALLAH time will go quickly and all of our visas will be approved.

Hi Faisal, did the CO took your passport? Gave you the 221G slip? Or did he request any additional documents from you?

Our AP lasted for two weeks, the CO took my passport and original birth cert. Told me not to worry and didn't request for other additional docs, so confusing.

It sucks, I hope yours won't be much longer.

My fiance's interview was in January and he needed to submit a doc so was put in AP. CO said 2 wks after he submits the docs we should get the visa, and that all was approved. Finishing up 2 months now since docs were submitted and still nothing. The FBI websites state that the security checks can take up to 6 months sometimes depending on the name/country of the petitioner. Hearing some of you mention 7 months though leaves one a bit hopeless.
