That looks really yummy!!! But can we get some chocolate in that croissant please? :D

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Good morning everyone! Busy busy busy day today! I have a lot of things to do, but I can't figure out the order in which to do them. I think I'll do the hard stuff first then finish with the easy stuff.

So I thought I would share something that I realized. Well two weeks ago, I went to Khols and bought 4 shirts. Two were the sweater/collar shirts, and the other two were turtleneck sweaters. So I am now wearing a turtleneck and I just realized that I don't like turtlenecks. I don't like how high they go up in the neck, so I folded it down. Then, I realized that it made me feel like I can't breathe very well.(one of the reasons I don't wear hijab) So I was thinking about this and realized I must have a fear of not being able to breathe or of being strangled. I wonder why I have this fear? hmmm... Very random thought.

So nothing is going on that's too much out of the ordinary. Well I guess I better get down to business soon. I hope you all have a good day!

Get your mind out of the gutter again, Charles!

Maybe he only meant that you're so sweet yourself that you simply don't need to eat anything sweet for breakfast.

:D

Mrs. Forgetful - I had the same problem with turtlenecks for a loooong time. I'm only recently starting to be okay with them a bit. But before they always made me feel like I was choking and couldn't breathe, so you're definitely not alone on that one!

My fiance is out looking for apartments for us for when I'm there.... *sigh*

I can't wait to go but it still seems a bit unreal after all this time that I'm actually going.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

And thanks JP for the chocolate croissant. They're simply divine! :)

We decided that I'll just stay with him in his but it's going to be very very interesting. His neighbors are wicked nosey nellies and apparently they listen in on even his phone conversations so they're gonna have a field day when I get there!!!! Seeing a woman stay with him for eleven days and then leave for months at a time.......I can just picture the lil old ladies sitting around the kitchen table drinking their tea talking about me and him.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Things are so weird here. We had snow flurries this morning! It's very bizarre for us to get snow around these parts, and in November, it's unheard of! I don't think it's going to stick. :( But it was fun to look at!

We're heading up to NC for our extended family Thanksgiving on Thurs., but will be back on Friday to have our fried turkey and to do our Christmas shopping. I am very excited because it's Amed's first Thanksgiving. :)

Also, this year, they have decided to make the weekend after Thanksgiving tax-free weekend here in SC, so whatever I buy this weekend will have no sales tax added on to it! I think that's a great idea and I am curious to see how it goes.

I hope everyone is doing well and that we get some good news this week and some visas are issued!

How is everyone doing this week?

4/15/06- Visa in hand!!!
