RFE about FORM I864 requesting docs already sent in.....

Hi everybody,

we got today by mail the RFE requiring for the FORM I864 the Federal income tax returns for the most recent year or IRS copies, W-2s, 1099s, evidence of current employment including a letter from employer on business stationery. Funny thing is that we sent already all the above mentioned docs!!!!!

Since I have already read some of you guys getting RFE for docs already sent to them, can you pls give me any advise for this matter?

What have you done? Have you just sent AGAIN the same docs saying that they had the docs already, or you just sent AGAIN the docs without mentiong that?

Did you send the docs requested AGAIN along with the pink sheet of the Immigration Service and a cover letter to Lees Summit?

When you send back the docs how does it work? Will they tell you that they receive the RFE docs by email, or they send you a letter by mail in order to confirm that everything is OK?

Any advice is very very appreciated..............especailly right now that I'm quite disappointed

Hey you,

a lot of people get an RFE for stuff they already submitted.

Mail them EVERYTHINg they requested in the RFE along with another cover letter stating everything that you are submitting- I wouldn't mention that they already have it-(or should have )- and make sure to make a copy of the RFE letter for your records.

They will let you know via email(if you are signed up for email notification) that they received your RFE once they receive it.

You will also get a letter regardless of the email, saying that they received the evidence and how they will proceed.

I do not know what they do with those documents- do they get lost or do they use it as toilet paper- I dont know, but take it serious and submit REALLLY EVERYTHING THEY REQUEST.

Exact thing happened to me. Just send it all in AGAIN. I sent the exact same stuff I sent in before and what-do-ya-know, they took it this time.

we got RFE for the same stuff too....and yes same stuff that we already sent in.

well......in my case,we sent everything they asked for (we sent the same taxes)and even more than what they asked coz i was upset so i even sent them more than what they want.....like; i include a copy of my husband pay stubs(for the last 6 months) and photocopy of my state id and health insurance card.LOLOLOLOL (though they didnt asked for it) oh well....

we didnt got mail for it or email(coz i didnt make my portfolio for email notification that time yet ) but instead, a week after that, we got transfer notice....we got transferred to CSC(which is a very good sign) coz part of the notice says "to speed up processing we transfer your case to CSC". and we got approved and got my green card in the mail without interview.

i dont think you need to mention that you sent those stuff already.....just send what they asked for.

everything will be ok, GOD is good all the time!!!!

same here..they wanted the same things as they do from you even though they already had them...we just sent them in again...good luck

There isn't a choice here...you send them what they want. We got the same thing too. One thing different I did was send IRS transcripts (ordered them from the IRS) instead of sending them another copy of my tax returns. I read somewhere that those seem to be what they like, so I sent them. The USCIS can ask for whatever they want...we have no choice but give it to them. Best of luck...hope it all gets resolved soon.

Thank you guys for all yr replies they helped me alot and they made me feel I'm not alone at all,

yesterday I was soooooooooooooo down but at least I knwo I'm not alone out there.
