I-134 & Tax question..please

Hi there,

just a quickie,

We are preparing the I-134 and when my fiance (USC) called IRS, they sent him

something called a Social Security Statement, which basically shows details of all his

tax returns over the past 10 years, Is this what we need?

Is this suitable evidence for the I-134, or does he need to get back in contact with IRS,

Any feedback would be most appreciated.

Social Security Statements only show the amount contributed to the Social security and the amounts of income that were taxed for that purpose. The acutal tax returns(IRS transcripts) show your total income.

You need to contact IRS and request a Tax return transcript, at least for the 2005 tax year. If you are self employed, you may need 3 years worth of tax transcripts. However, they are free. If you want a copy of your return, including W-2, from IRS, you'll need to pay about $39. You can get this at IRS.GOV. The transcript arrives in about 2 weeks. The full copy with W-2 takes longer.
