Wedding pictures for the interview

Hello. Is it okay just to take a wedding book (where the pictures are printed) as opposed to taking physical pictures that can be pulled out of a conventional photo album? I know they like to photocopy some pictures at times and they should be able to do that with the wedding book just as easily as they would with individuals prints. I didn't think it should matter but wasn't sure if the IOs are picky about things like this one way or the other.

It would be best for you to pre-copy some of the pages to give to the IO. They do not want to have to photocopy things, its really on you to have everything copied and ready to hand over for what they request.

Also remember that they want photos that are date stamped. Your undated wedding photos should be accompanied by a certified copy of your marriage license to establish the date the photos were taken....

I have actually photocopied some select pictures and sent them in with my application. I plan on taking a lot more pictures of the wedding and other occassions with me to the interview. I guess I'll photo copy some more pictures and then if they wants still more pictures, they can photocopy from the book? I just wanted to double check that they didn't consider photo books 'suspect' as opposed to physical prints.

Which is what I answered to earlier, you need to make copys for them to keep at the interview if they request it. They do not want to make copys and would prefer you are prepared with evidence to hand over to them. They want more than just what you included in the application. Evidence they will keep in your files.

Thanks! I do plan on taking my original marriage certificate (and a copy of it) with me to the interview. Beyond that, how do you prove the date stamp? The pictures do not have a physical date stamp on them. Will just the certifiate in conjunction with the pictures be sufficient?

Well, this brings up an interesting point. I do not have a marriage license, only a marriage certificate. We went to the county clerk's office and were legally married there. However, we did have a religious ceremony two days later, which is where all the pictures are from. Will this be an issue?

I think you may be missing the point of my question or possibily I'm not clarifying enough. I do plan on taking some photocopies of my pictures so that's a non-issue. However, if the IO wants more pictures for his files that I don't have copies of, do they frown upon 'photo books' as opposed to conventional albums that have physical photo prints in them. The underlined portion of this comment is the gist of my question.

Unless of course, if you are of the opinion that all the pictures that I take with me should have corresponding photocopies, all this will be a moot point.

Unless you feel OK giving them the book permanently, if they want some of the pictures in the book.

Again, my question is not about photocopies of pictures or having to give them my book if I do not have corresponding photocopies. My question is whether or not they make a fuss about the validity of photo books (printed wedding albms) as opposed to physical prints in an album with sleeves. In other words, comparing an original (print picture) to a copy (photo book).

To summarize it,

Are photo books considered acceptable evidence for pictures or are print 4x6's the way to go? (once again, leave out the need to provide photocopies since I will be having those)
