About a week ago I received a RFE on my I-751 wanting more evidence. My husband and I have a joint account but only my pay goes into it, but he uses it to pay for groceries etc. We both came into our marriage with previous debt and decided to bank separately until we paid off our debts. The USIS want bank statements for the whole period of our marriage, I had just sent in a few. Is it ok to just send the 1st page of each one or do I have to send the full statement for each month ?

When I moved here my husband already had all the ultilities in his name, so we never but them in my name as well. Should we call them all and have my name added to the bills as well ?

We don't have any credit cards or loans together. Just before I moved here my husband lost his house in a Short Sale which affected his credit. I have credit cards in my name to help build my credit here.

Can I write my own affadavit explaining all of this and have it sworn ? We can get letters from friends and a letter from our landlord but I am afraid this won't be enough.

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated !!

i would send them everything complete with an explanation that you made a conscious decision to keep your past debt separate or what ever your reason was o.e. short sale etc., but after three years seems pointless unless you cleaned up one party'scredit to buy a home. VSC is a stickler for showing a combined marriage, financial is #1, but all your proof should have been included. Send the kitchen sink at this point.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
