K1 check to which name??? HELP

my big question....

To whom does the check have to be adressed for the K1 Visa applicaton:

To Homeland Security or USCIS - i mean what exactly do i have to write on it??

Also could i pay with a money order as well? How does that work?

I made my check payable to USCIS...........they cashed it in 2 days !!!

I am not sure how it works with a money order but I am sure someone else will reply.

Fees for USCIS services and benefits should be made payable to Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Money Orders are done the same way.

You could do something silly like look on page 3 of the form under fee's where it says "Make your check or money order payable to the Department of Homeland Security"

Hi fllf,

Make check payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security”. It would be better if you paid by check because that way you could get your cancelled check with the receipt number on the back of the check. If you use a money order you will not get it back, hence you will not have the receipt number. I never got my NOA1 letter by mail. This is why I am telling you this.

I agree... use a personal check because you can find out when it was cashed, and give you a little bit of comfort that they found it and have their money, which seems to be their FIRST priority!
