Ok we received our NOA2 and things are really starting to move quick, I got the notice from the embassy in Moscow so I filled out all of the info there and scheduled a appointment, I do not understand why there are only dates available for the last 2 weeks of May, what about June? It seems that May is too quick because it is only 2 weeks away. The instructions I printed at the end of making the appointment say to bring this letter, your application confirmation page (displaying your photograph and printed bar code). Where do I get the application page with the photo? What info will be sent to my fiancee before the interview and how long does it take to get? Any help will be great, thanks!!

No we havent gotten anything besides the email from the embassy, that is what scares me a little because the only dates that were available were 2 weeks from now, will they send the packet in time? Or will the next dates that come available be another month or two away,,,

Follow the instructions here:

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/iv-fiancee.html

The barcode will appear when you fill in DS-156 online and then click continue.

They probably didn't enter the available dates for June yet, if you don't want to go in May, just wait for later in the month and they should enter more dates afterwards.

Has your embassy sent you the Packet 3?

Embassy in Russia does not send you anything like "Packet 3" in some countries. In Russia you supposed to find, download, print (except DS-156 if I remember right, this one you're filling online) and fill all of the forms from USCIS site on your own.

About dates in May/June - yes, you can do interview in June, but dates will be opened later. Embassy doesn't open dates for a long period ahead so if it's nothing available after May yet, you just have to wait till embassy will open dates in June later.

Everything about documents and forms were clearly explained on forum many times so I will not repeat it, I'm sure you can find it through Search function.

When I was scheduling my interview, only certain days were available, not Mon-Fri.

Close.....the DS-156 form is filled out online and then you print it out and it adds the barcode during the printing.

There is not online submissions of anything.

This is all a little confusing. We just got our NOA2 email and are working on the next steps. On my end I know I have to wait for the actual NOA2 to arrive before I can go ahead with sending the required forms and other documents to my Fiancee. On her end we were expecting that she would be mailed an actual package, are you saying that is not the case? So then I assume that she will receive her confirmation by email some 2-3 weeks after when I receive the physical NOA2? The process was very clear on VisaJourney for the I-129F stage but the next steps are confusing as it varies so much from country to country.

Thank you!

Download the forms from the embassy website and look back for previous threads about scheduling the interview.

You should have had all this memorized as you waited for the NOA2.

You should have had all this memorized as you waited for the NOA2.

We kind of got blindsided because of all the delays at the CSC we were expecting not to get the NOA2 until August but instead we got it exactly 4 months after our NOA1 so we're scrambling to do everything much sooner than expected (not that this is a problem :-).

WRT the interview previous threads appear to contradict each other WRT whether there is a physical packet sent or just an email notification. Since the process could have changed I figured that it was best to ask what is the current expectations rather than rely on a thread that had been written in 2007 or 2008.
