Call USCIS and ask tier 2 which service center it is being processed at now.

Is their an nvc forum for a december approval?

Yes, there is. For some reason my security setting won't let me paste the link, but I found it by clicking on "View New Content" at top right of this page, and then scrolling down. Sorry I can't paste the link!

I just got transferred yesterday (Dec 26) and got another email today, saying: "On December 27, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing."

What does this mean?

We filed from abroad, so what local office would that be? We put an address in the USA for where we intend to live (Washington State). I thought NBC was sending them to other service centers, not local offices. Am I mistaken? Is this going to take longer because it is a local office?

It will go to a service center. You have to wait until you get a hard copy or you can call USCIS and ask tier 2 about the service center it has been transferred to.

Good luck!

Hello All,

I have been following this forum for a while and thanks for everyone for all the information and updates. This has been really helpful. I have not participated but have been updating the spreadsheet for May filers. I am on the same boat, filed in May got transferred Dec 17th to local office (CSC) and got approval notice on Dec 26th.

I have been trying to do find out on my own and through forums and different sites but getting a little confused as far as the next steps are concerned.

Now I have a few questions and would be grateful if someone can clear them for me.

I understand now after NOA2 approval, our case will be forwarded to NVC.

Do we need to do anything right now or just wait for next steps from NVC?

How and when will we find out about the case has been forwarded to NVC and a case number is assigned? can we check that somehow

DS-3032 form for choice of Agent, is that something I can do now (online) or wait to receive something here abroad from NVC?

What is expected wait time to receive DS-3032 to me and for my husband to get AOS fee bill request after the NOA2 approval?

My husband will be the "agent" , so once I choose him he will be getting all the packets?

DS-230, who will receive that form me or my husband ? and is that what IV instruction package will contain once the IV Application bill is paid?

What documents will be needed with I-864 and DS-230?

Birth certificates ----- does my husband need my original? he has a stamped copy?)

Police certificate --- can I get that now? or do I need to show my area police station something as a request from NVC? is that document request part of IV packet?

Does my husband (petitioner) leaving in US needs a police report?

If any original documents need to submitted before my interview apart ?

I know its kinda a long list of questions but one liners will suffice

Thanks again

Well it depends who you have chosen as agent on your DS 3032 form or email.

The question is do the agent send original birth certificates for both or notarized copies. I know the marriage certificates should be original.

And if the agent does send notarized birth certificate copies, do I as the beneficiary living abroad need his original for my interview at the consulate? :)

Samreen btw I am also from karachi....are you also a May filer? did you get your I130 approval?
