Hi guys,

I just want to add that I'm a May 28 filler, that my case was transferred today to a USCIS office. I guess NBC which sucks I guess cuz some April fillers who got transferred there still waiting. I just want to ask if any body know how long does it take for approval after transfer. I know every case is different, and you can't predict what these fox are doing, even each application is a 1000 dollars process, they can't provide a decent service. sucks

Updating y'all. Got my hard copy in the mail today. We were transferred from NBC (Lee's Summit) to California Service Center.

Now, I have a question, perhaps one of you lovely folks could answer it, because when I called the USCIS information line they were of ZERO help.

When I initially filed my petition, my last name was still my maiden name. After I filed, I then changed my last name to that of my husbands. I got my name updated on passport, state i.d., and ssc. When I received all my updated identification, I called USCIS and told them that my surname had changed since I applied. They told me to send in a letter explaining the name change and then send in copies of my new i.d. and passport. I did that and called back a wk after I sent that to see if they had received and updated my petition with new name. They were unable to answer me. When I got the letter today it came in maiden name and so the answer is no, they have not yet updated it. Here is my question. Have any of you ladies changed your surname after you filed and if so how did you inform them? Do any of you think that perhaps they forwarded my envelope containing updated surname along with my petition to California?

I did change my name after marriage but I changed it before we started filing the process. So the paperwork is actually filed by new name. So I don't know what should be the process when it's changed afterwards. I think u should call and inform them that u sent the necessary paperwork already and as to why didn't they update

"Post decision activity" usualy means the application is approved.

But the paraghraph you wrote means that the file was transferred and is still in process.

Once you get a notification, you'll understand more what's going on

Congratulations to those who have been approved. It hurts to see those who applied before me getting approved before me. Screw this system. USCIS personnel am sure are getting a kick out of this. Merry Christmas.

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.
