MSC just means your petition is being processed at the NBC. It does not mean your petition will stay at NBC.

Most petitions are transferred to Local Field Offices unless you filed from abroad or for some other rare reason.

Now it's been 50 days since priority date.

Whereabouts is everyone moving btw? You don't have to answer, I'm just asking cause I'm the curious type :)

We don't actually know where we are moving yet, depends on petitioner's job. I have previously lived in the U.S for several years on a student visa, so I'm hoping we'll move somewhere in the eastern side; North Carolina would be my favorite :)

IR1 took 520 days....

It's up in the air really where we will be moving to. It really bases upon my husband's (Beneficiary) job. He's a aircraft mechainc and finally got his foot in the door this last Jan. after going to school and getting his license. Were hoping his job at the Saudi Airlines will transfer him over, but if not I'm willing to move anywhere to his job he get hired at in his field. Were hoping it's probably going to be in California, but anything is possible. star_smile.gif

Thank you for answering guys :) I find it always so interesting and special how different every story here on VJ is!

We will be first moving to the Midwest, to my husband's extremely small hometown, since mother-in-law in sponsoring us. But in all honesty, I hope we don't have to stay there for long, there are no job opportunities for me or much of a social life in general, since I'm not a farmer, rancher or veterinarian. Luckily, husband agrees with me and our plans are to relocate pretty soon after we cross the pond.

IR1 took 520 days....

I found this information....... I attached the file. Below is a lil snippit of the info

August 15, 2012 - CSC and the Vermont Service Center began shipping stand-alone Immediate Relative I-130 petitions to NBC. NBC ships I-130s to the field bi-weekly based on jurisdiction (ZIP code). There are two exceptions to the petitions sent to the field: those that are foreign filers, and expedite requests. Once NBC is staffed for this workload in 2013, we will assume jurisdiction of the stand-alone Immediate Relative I-130 petitions. August 15, 2012 NBC assumed jurisdiction over all new I-90 applications. The Nebraska Service Center will complete the workload that was pending as of 8/15/12. September 20, 2012 NBC modified the I-485 initial evidence review process for family-based applications to provide staff for new workloads at NBC. NBC will resume the normal process when we have the staffing capacity to perform the work. October 1, 2012 USCIS Lockbox Operations began assigning MSC receipt numbers to standalone Immediate Relative I-130 petitions and shipping the petitions to NBC 0

each case is different. documents, reports and predictions based on timelines don't change the fact that we have to wait.

we will get our approvals sooner or later. peace! be patient!

impatience may cause anxiety and hostility, arguments with our relatives. we need to stay strong!

58 days since NOA1. Let's hope NOA2 arrives late August or early September! We are not really in a hurry, but I would like this phase to go by quickly since during this time nothing really happens, our papers are just standing on some desk/drawer/whatnot :) since they won't be (or shouldn't be) going to a local office.

Looking at April filers I guess first May people (abroad filers) should get approved in ~3-4 weeks.

  • 2011-10-02: Married

  • 2013-05-22: I-130 Sent to Chicago from Ireland

2013-06-03: I-130 NOA1 email received - routed to NBC

2013-06-03: Case shows up on-line in "Initial Review" state

2013-12-27: Transferred to NSC (Nebraska)

2014-03-05: NOA2 email received
