Welcome everyone!

I was just curious, when you got your NOA1, did it say your case was routed to Lee's Summit, MO or Overland Park, KS?

Ours was sent to Overland Park, KS and I was just wondering what the difference is?

IR1 took 520 days....

Welcome everyone!

I was just curious, when you got your NOA1, did it say your case was routed to Lee's Summit, MO or Overland Park, KS?

Ours was sent to Overland Park, KS and I was just wondering what the difference is?

Lee's Summit, MO and Overland Park, KS are both NBC facilities to my understanding. There is no difference.

Our application was sent to Overland Park, Kansas as well.

Does anyone know how the processing times are at the Kansas facility? It seems like the office started processing I-130 petitions relatively recently so I'm hoping that they are not as backed up as the other offices?

Dec 5, 2012: Married in Gulu, Uganda
May 1, 2013: Mailed I-130 package
May 3, 2013: NOA1 priority date (Overland Park, KS)
Dec 4, 2013: File Transferred to NSC

Feb 9, 2014: NOA2

Feb 24, 2014: NVC Received

Mar 31, 2014: Case number assigned & AOS Bill paid

Apr 4, 2014: IV Bill received

Apr 12, 2014: IV Bill Paid

May 30, 2014: Sent both IV and AOS packages

Jun 6, 2014: IV/AOS received at NVC

Jul 17, 2014: AOS Check list received

Jul 18, 2014: Check list response mailed

Sept 16, 2014: Case Complete!!!

Oct 8, 2014: Received Interview Date

Nov 13-14, 2014: Medical Review - Approved!

Nov 19, 2014: Interview in Nairobi - APPROVED!!!!

- Denied March 13, 2012

- Placed in AP March 14,2012

- Sent back to USCIS November 2012

- Expired March 2013

WASTED A YEAR FIGHTING THE DENIEL

MARRIED MARCH 15, 2013

1-130 Approved 3/3/2014 :-)

Finally made it home 3/18/2014

I read somewhere else in VJ that most cases are now going to Overland Park, KS but that is clearly not the case, since half of the us four have cases that have gone to Missouri. I wonder why some get sent to Kansas and some to Missouri of if it is just a random selection.

^Thanks for checking!

Husband called today to USCIS just as a routine check up on our case status and I made him ask about the difference between Missouri and Kansas. The rep said that there's no particular reason why they send the cases to MO or KS, they just sent them to the one that has less cases pending. Now, I don't know if this is really the case, or this is just something they tell the callers to get rid of them :D

IR1 took 520 days....

Yeah, that's what I've read too. Folks who file from abroad will stay at NBC instead of being transferred to a Local Field Office.

Do all May filers have MSC numbers? Does MSC or other numbers tell us more about the processing of the petition (where and timeline)?

MSC just means your petition is being processed at the NBC. It does not mean your petition will stay at NBC.

Most petitions are transferred to Local Field Offices unless you filed from abroad or for some other rare reason.

Hello Everyone, I see that mostly everyone knows to which National Benefits Center their petition was transferred. I checked my letter and I do not see anywhere that it says where was it sent to. Can someone please tell me how you found out. Am I supposed to receive another letter? I have only gotten 1 letter and it was the Form I-797C which is the receipt that my petition was received. Can someone please help me.
