Yesterday I check on the case status of our I-130 and this is what I read:

"On November 21, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

* So, it seems that our I-130 was transferred to a local USCIS office for future processing. That's seems good news to me. At least there is some movement, which is the first since it arrived at the USCIS in late May of this year.

Then earlier today I checked on our case status again and I see the following notification:

"The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

* I notice that now there is no date. It still states that it was transferred. It also states that it is now being processed at a USCIS office. I am left to wonder: Is that "now" like in "now" or some future "now? And what USCIS office (local field office or one of the service centers)?
Oh well, it looks to me like the wheels are beginning to turn; at what speed is yet to be determined. I am reservedly optimistic about it all at this point. Fingers are crossed. :)

I too have received this notification. In fact, I have received 3 notices in as many days. The first informed me that my file was being transferred, the second to my local office and the third to "a" office. I guess Monday I will be on the phone to a tier 2 to inquire which office. ,

Lots of negative people here. Even with news of transfers and approvals people still find something to be negative about. Guess it's just one of the realities of the community here.

I agree with you though - let's stay strong and be positive!

The way I see it is, any expedite, any transfers and any DCF approved before me, is one less file on top of our file! lol!

we are may 4 th filler nothing yet .. sad.png

Same here. 03 May priority date. If I believe the USCIS website, the last time our file was touched was 08 May. Still nothing, I'd be happy to just get transferred.

My wife reads a forum thats mostly Russian/Ukrainian women married to American guys, very similar to VJ, I'm guessing. Today she sent me this timeline, from a may filer on that site:

Service center MSC ( Missouri ) :
- I- 130 Mailed May 1, 2013
- Petition Approved NOA2 on May 14, 2013
- Case Number NVC on May 23, 2013
- NVC sent DS3032 to Petitioner and Beneficiary by email on May 23, 2013
- Agent choice email sent on May 24, 2013 by email
- NVC received Form DS3032 June 4 (NVC approves the selection agent ) replied 2 weeks
- AOS bill received by mail from May 23, 2013
- NVC cash AOS bill on May 25, 2013 (status PAID)
- I- 864 affidavit of support delivered in NVC on June 6, 2013
- NVC generated IV fee bill on June 6, 2013
- Bill received by email on June 7, 2013
- IV fee bill payed on June 7, 2013
- NVC of Cash IV fee bill on June 11, 2013 (status PAID)
- DS- 2013 and civil docs sent to NVC on June 11, 2013
- DS- 230 delivered to NVC on June 12, 2013
- Visa in hand September 5, 2013
The poster claims no DCF/expedites. Since it's the net, who knows. But it's getting much harder to "keep the faith" so to speak.

02/07/2014 NOA2

02/25/2014 Case received at NVC

03/28/2014 Case Number assigned

04/01/2014 DS-261 Available and completed

04/07/2014 AOS and IV bills paid

04/09/2014 Sent AOS package

04/10/2014 AOS package delivered to NVC

04/12/2014 DS-260 completed

04/14/2014 IV package sent

04/15/2014 IV package delivered to NVC

04/17/2014 NVC says "one piece of mail" regarding case received, can't specify which one AOS or IV

04/21/2014 "Two pieces of mail received", so AOS and IV packages both logged in.

05/06/2014 Case Complete.

06/12/2014 Visa Approved!

The way it's been explained to me, is that the US Consulate, in the country that issued the passport, can certify a copy of the passport, and that's acceptable to the IRS. See the link in my post above, the instructions for the W-7. It seems to support that. I have seen a least one other thread here on VJ, and the USC said they did the same thing, had a copy of passport certified at the US embassy.

I hope the information I got is correct. There is no way we are sending her original passport to the IRS.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

Just got this...so this means my I-130 was accepted? Does this count as the NOA2? (No other emails since May 19, 2013). What do I do now (or get ready to do?) It's been 6 long months. Thank God I got this so my wife and I can get home together.

All cases with a Filipino beneficiary have been transferred to another service center (probably CSC, TSC, or NSC). It seems that all such cases have been expedited, regardless of where the beneficiary resides.
