Sounds like a plan but it looks like only female Americans can be part of this (given the 'National' part), and they have to consider the application.

I failed to locate her in LinkedIn unfortunately.

I'm considering the idea of having all of us who have twitter accounts twitting this question to the USCIS official twitter account. It doesn't look like they reply there but maybe if they got the drift that people really want to know?..

And/or start posting comments on their FB. https://www.facebook.com/uscis

Exactly.

I'm the beneficiary.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

Not a visajourney person, but I have read these threads to get information about the USCIS. I filed for an I-130 in May 2013 for my wife, and my receipt number starts with MSC. I am a U.S citizen and I have not filed any other forms. I felt it would only be fair to create an account and pass on this information.

I contacted my local congressman's office to see if they could help process my case faster, and this is the response they got from USCIS, which they then forwarded to me followed by their comments (in black):

"

After a review of our systems it was found that Case MSC 13 9-- -----, Form I-130 filed on behalf of ------ is currently pending. The estimated processing time for I-130 petitions is an additional six months from today’s date. These delays are due to workload factors not related to your constituent’s case. If your constituent does not receive a decision or other notice of action from USCIS by that date, please contact your USCIS congressional liaison again.

When you filed the I-130 for ---- in late May, posted estimated processing time for I-130s was most likely 5 months. However, due to a surge in applications and a resulting delay in processing, USCIS was forced to transfer pending I-129F and I-130 applications from the Vermont Service Center to other offices around the country for adjudication. New cases, such as yours, were routed to the MSC to await assignment to a field office or other service center for processing. The MSC does not process I-130 applications and is simply the holding place for your application.

The MSC is sending I-130 applications out to local offices or service centers in the order of receipt for adjudication, but it will most likely be another 6 months before ----- case is adjudicated due to the high workload that USCIS is experiencing.

"

I was also told from the congressional office that visajourney is not a reliable/credible source for information. I have no comment on this, but I'll leave for you guys to judge.

If I could give advice it would be to not read too much into any one case. I believe there was a May filer who was approved recently that several people got excited about, but their case was also expedited.

I received the exact same form letter a month and a half ago. I am an April filer. I was also told my file would NOT be transferred and that they aren't transferring cases to local offices anymore.. But after reading posts here and a recent approval ( April 29 PD) she found out her case was transferred and was never notified. VJ is not reliable... its mostly opinions.... I read alot of things that are just false information but I don't dare post anything about it. I post about K-3's because I have experience with filing and getting approved for that petition. As far as the more complicated things.... I agree.... someone called it a RUMOR MILL on another post.

It is nice to see the approval posts but anything else is just for entertainment and to pass the time.

So you're saying VJ is a fraud?

I'm not saying anything. That's what a former Immigration Officer told me. "Stop going on VJ, it's all lies".

I know I don't lie here.

Still think VJ is a more reliable source of info than USCIS.

I'm hanging out to wait to see the approvals posted.... Think about it though..... what is stopping someone from posting a fake timeline and posting fake dates?

When I went through the K-3 process back in 2008, I was fortunate enough to be able to chat with a group of "REAL" people. and actually... I still talk to 3 of them on Facebook frequently. Back then there was alot of BS going back and forth and alot of "Know-it-all's" The point is, it really is case by case . It is fun to wait for the approvals and casually read the posts, but use your common sense. Do you really believe someone who just filed their petition a month ago? I can share what I know happened to me back in 08 .

That is why I filed the K-3. I read so much ####### on VJ about how its dead.... and for a while I believed it but I have to go by what my attorney says rather than VJ. If it was dead, it woudln't be an option and they wouldn't bother posting processing times either .

But why would anyone be posting fake dates and timelines is just beyond me. I know some probably do, though.

so now the word is overland park is holding I-130s and not adjudicating them? doesn't that conflict with the ALIA meeting notes that is floating around here?

They said "MSC", probably only meaning NBC/Missouri.

No word about Kansas there, so.. I don't even know anymore. I am tired of thinking and guessing!

What difference does it make if the application is at Lee Summit-MO or Overland Park-KS ? These facilities are 30 minutes drive from each other. I am sure you can figure out how I know this idea9dv.gif.

The important thing is that the application is at NBC.

I am just waiting for my 6 months, then my plan secret7vf.gifis to write letters about this messopotomia to:

1. Director USCIS: Alejandro Mayorkas

202-272-1000; 202-272-8118 Fax

alejandro.mayorkas@dhs.gov and alejandro.mayorkas@hq.dhs.gov and uscisfrcomments@dhs.gov

20 Massachusetts Ave NW

Washington DC 20529

2. Deputy Director (Acting): Michael Aytes

202-272-8000; 202-272-8118 Fax

michael.aytes@dhs.gov

3. Office of Administration-USCIS

Director: Nancy W. Guilliams

202-272-1570 ; 202-272-1553 Fax

4. Secretary DHS: Randy Beers

rand.beers@hq.dhs.gov

5. Washington Post - Letter to Editor

letters@washpost.com

6. Fox-4 or KCTV-5 news in Kansas City (I live here and since the NBC is here I should send the letter local news channel - I have seen them giving coverage to these kind of issues)

7. AILA; executive@aila.org and newsroom@aila.org

I cannot accept whatever USCIS tell me mad.gif ; something has to be done about this USCIS BS protest6wz.gif

I would like all of you to do the same - there is no harm.

Goodluck

I'm with you!!

We filed for the K3 visa in May hoping to get at least that one approved sooner. We thought we had to try anything that could give us a chance to be together. NOA1 says it is at Lee's Summit. Oct 29 it's going to be 5 months since the NOA1 date. I see in timelines here for K3 visa and it seems like the longest waiting for K3 has been 6 months. But it also seems like everyone who filed for the K3 visa got approved that one along with the I-130 the same day.

If we can get the K3 visa approved before the six months, or before the I-130, we would be extremely happy!!!

OMG! I'm furious. What is going on with our 130's?! Can't wait for the results of the results of the AILA meeting! And I'm not lying either. Why would someone go to the bother of registering on VJ to tell lies? So disheartened with this whole process. Thank God we filed the 129 at the same time as the 130. It might just be faster.
