Timeline

My timeline is in my signature, but not in my main profile. But feel free to ask anything. smile.png

The purpose of a real timeline is to build up statistics data for more accurate approval estimates. So it would really help other members if more people filled theirs in.

I'm the beneficiary.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

I've been hearing that starting with May filers, i130 has been received by NBC Overland Park, KS. Is it even open yet? I know Overland Park was suppose to open at the end of September. Has anyone moved onto NOA2?

One person has reported receiving NOA2 but from Lee's Summit, not Overland Park.

Does anyone know what our chances of being approved by November is? Probably slim...

Just curious, what makes you think you'll get the NOA2 by November? If so, that's really fast coming from a May filer given the hugely long processing times of I-130s right now. I hope you get it!

some Feb, March and April still need to be adjudicated. IDK, I had 2 tier 2 reps tell me I should see something around Halloween. I'm not counting on that at all. I filed a K-3 today ... Processing times are posted at 5 months for that. I'll take whatever one comes first.

Okay, I might have some update... I called USCIS yesterday, spoke to tier-1 Customer Service Rep (CSR) and she did verify about Overland Park, KS and how Vermont Service Center reference is rhetorical / nonsense without any connection. Then I immediately asked to speak to tier-2 CSR hoping to get a timeline for i-130 to get adjudicated, she took my information and advised that one of them will call me back in 3-5 business days.

However, I got that call today (so in 24 hours, not bad) and here's what he answered me:

1) He too, verified what tier-1 CSR had conveyed yesterday.

2) Even tho return address on my receipt (NOA-1) is Overland Park, KS... my case is actually at National Benefit Center (NBC); which is at Lee's Summit, MO... which kinda makes sense because I did a side research and found out the this NBC was use to known as Missouri Service Center, ergo receipt number starting with "MSC" (source: http://immigration-lawyer.com/info/nbc-processing-times-uscis/)

3) Here's the daunting part, he estimates that currently it is taking 6-9 months for i-130 and better to consider closer to 9 months timeframe ohmy.png!

because / and

4) Even tho current shutdown is not affecting NBC yet, there is possibility it might diablo.gif

So, bottom line is... just to sit tight and keep a look out for any update.

Hey guys, I've been checking this board since June... can't believe it'll be almost 5 months since I've received my NOA-1 (May 15). Someone, please take a look at my timeline (and below synopsis) since I'm a newbie because I kinda need a little clarification... any help is much appreciated!
So, basically I'm a naturalized U.S. Citizen (USC, since May 2012), residing near Houston, TX and got remarried in April 2013 overseas (Mumbai, India), then filed i-130 when I returned to U.S. for her while she is there, still waiting.
Here's some of my confusion, I've been reading alot about where did the NOA-1 came from (my case its from Overland Park, KS but I remember mailing completed i-130 to AZ lockbox since I reside in Texas) but when I check status on the receipt number on this NOA-1 online, it gives me additional option to check from those 3-dropdowns (please see screenshot attached below); where it says i-130 for USC spouse is only processed at Vermont?
  1. All I want to find out is, whether this case is at Vermont Service Center or Overland Park or elsewhere?
  2. Am I okay to anticipate any feedback or hopefully approval like lucky few ones (here) anytime now?
  3. And do I need to basically just wait for NOA-2 (as far as I know, like others) or have to submit any other form(s) / procedure(s) prior to NOA-2?
  4. Also, please advise if I've goofed-up my timeline and need to make any corrections?
Again, any help is much appreciated!
Good luck to all,
Cheers!

2 things....I read somewhere on VJ that both facilities are considered NBC. Missouri and Kansas... They are only 30 minutes apart from each other. Maybe someone else can chime in on this but I could swear I read that. I would go by the address printed on your notice. All over VJ it is said that any filers May and later are in Kansas. I'm sure there are a few strays...

the other thing I question is ... 6-9 months ? is that from the date of filing or from the time you were told this information? Like 6 months from today? The senators office was sending letters to people stating " 6 months form the date of this notice" even after being already 5 months in.

I'm a little confused. It seems like the address on the NOA1s from Overland Park has nothing to do with where it's being processed, and that every hard copy with a receipt number beginning in MSC is being processed at Lee's Summit. Would anyone agree with this? Is that what it sounds like waitin4her is saying?

Yes, I believe that both Lees Summit and Overland Park are both NBC's. My 130 is in Overland Pk, according to the i797 and i129 is in Lees Summit. We filed in June.

Ours are the same. They both say National Benefits Center and start with MSC.

I-130 NOA1 May 6. Overland Park.

I-129F NOA1 May 29. Lee's Summit.
