So, my wife's visa was approved at her interview today. They said she would get it within a week.

They only asked her one question... "Is your son with you?" Then approved the visa.

We couldn't believe it.

USCIS

05-14-2013 -> Filled i-130(DCF in Delhi)
05-17-2013 -> Received NOA1

01-13-2014 -> I-130 Approved (NOA2)

NVC
01-27-2014 -> NVC Received
01-27-2014 -> Received DS-261

01-27-2014 -> Received AOS Bill

01-30-2014 -> Paid AOS Fee
01-30-2014 -> Received AOS Package
01-31-2014 -> Returned Completed DS-261

The purpose of a real timeline is to build up statistics data for more accurate approval estimates. So it would really help other members if more people filled theirs in.

Do you have a child with your wife? We had a child too, wish her interview goes smooth as your wife.

Yes, we have a son. From what I have read, a lot of times just having a child together is enough proof of a real relationship.

I hope it doesn't cross an year for u! :(

I hope so too SAMREEN I talked to immigration officer last week he said security check was completed on April 1st and they moved the i130 to my local field office for additional review so I am just waiting now what is going to happen and praying to allah miya!! Hopefully next week I will hear something inshallah!!

I-130 approved, finally, since early May PD. On average, it looks like similar cases from China on average are getting assigned an NVC case number within 30 days, as some have already noted. Lawyer says within 60 days. Sorry for those still waiting for NOA2, keep finding more ways to connect with your love.
