Posting again, filed I-130 in early May 2013, transferred to Texas early December 2013, several couples from Taiwan who applied more than three months after us have already been approved, happy for them, but actually very livid and resentful too that it has taken us so long, but people applying months after us had already been approved. After the processing times changed ten days ago saying they were processing July 2013 applications I called again, they said to go to the Boston office to ask what was going on...I went all the way down there on a day I was sick, paid a ton for parking, only to find out, according to the person there that our "file had been accessed" Friday March 21, no idea what this means or why they couldn't tell us on the phone. I've been in contact with my Senator's office but have held off on the hopes that something would happen...

Question is, what does this mean, the "file has been accessed", is it just another smokescreen? How long will it be "accessed" before approval? Why doesn't any action show on our USCIS login page?

I feel you Jpborn. I have been in tears pretty much all day. I have emailed, called USCIS, called TSC, contacted senators office, contacted ombudsmen, the list is endless. They sent our application to the wrong place. I am angry and resentful too.

Same here its been 10 months and 4 days nothing still so sad miss him so much some time I think am I ever going to see him again what if something happens to me just crazy things go in my mind :-(:-(:-(:-(:-(

If you have not already contacted your senator, please do so; it helped me; they put inquiry for me on Friday, and I was approved on Monday.

I was also transferred to NSC on 12/12/13 - total time from NOA-1 to NOA-2: 8.5 months.

That means your file has been touched by officer, but who knows what are they doing on your file. Like mine, the officer took my file in Dec 2013, but until now I just got the update above. All the times I contacted to them, even my Senator contacted to them. The responses are "case pending for background check clearance". So "your file has been accessed" or " your file has been assigned to the officer" are mean nothing to me.

Mine transferred to NSC on 12/12/2013 too, I sent email to about 5 people working at USCIS. Made servive request, file 7001 form to Ombudsman, emailed to SCOPSSCATA, OLUInquiries. Contacted to Senator asked for put an inquiry to USCIS.....I did as many ways as I can, and now my case updated with that message. According to lot of people inVJ, that is a sign of approval comming. I just praying and wishing my case will be the same as other people in here. So, tomorrow is my day. It fall on my birthday also. Maybe, USCIS give me a good gift on my birthday
