Anyone that has gotten an RFE what kind of things are they looking for anyone in particular has been asked for some type of proof if so what kind ?

I got asked for marriage certificate(AGAIN)..... apparently.... they weren't happy with the translation I got them...... they said the certificate (in Spanish) wasn't translated fully into English. They also want me to get them a photocopy of my wife's birth certificate and translate it to English as well.

We also got asked again for marriage certificate. Ours was in English, so it's not the language, but USCIS demanded a civil ceremony marriage certificate, which we cannot provide, since we were married in a church. We sent a copy of the marriage certificate to them again with an extract from the population system stamped by the civil registrar's office, showing that we are indeed married. So frustrating, if they don't accept normal and valid Finnish marriage certificates, why not say so on the embassy website? We got married according to the Finnish law and it sucks that USCIS can't respect that. Hoping our cover letter with the explanation and the evidence will do.

IR1 took 520 days....

So they waited till the last day of teh 60-day after transfer and then they hit you with an RFE to buy themeselves more time and actually take your petition from their time average calculations. That is really twisted and sick!!!!!!!!!!!

11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

^ yup, the timing is a rather odd coincidence. We called USCIS customer service (tier2) and they were also completely baffled as to why we got a RFE. I suppose the officer in question just doesn't understand foreign marriage certificates...

We were told the same thing as well. My wife finally put a service request in on the website, and quoting what the letter said. We have to wait up until March 14th to hear an answer. I know a trick my wife did was she called USCIS one time and said "Oh sorry, I was connected to a tier 2 but was disconnected on the line, can you put me back through" and the tier 1 just put her back in the queue. Our senator also sent us an e-mail back stating they haven't heard back from USCIS and they are still attempting to get a response from them. I think they're just ignoring every little detail now or just can't find our case and can't be bothered to look in the massive of boxes they have...

I wonder if they have a certain criteria to process some of the applications at a faster rate than others from "known" countries.

I called Senators office again. Apparently they need more time to hear back from USCIS. How much time, I wonder? Who knows. Its been over 2.5 months after getting the transfer notice.

I notice that the other Recipt numbers ( +/- 10) around mine are getting approved. Senators office menitoned that USCIS processes files Chronologically. total BS.devil.gif

I have noticed that as well! They don't process files chronologically at all. They should, but they will use that you have no evidence or proof that they don't. Just another thing for them to get away with. Just find it amusing they tell you the "60 days is for your reference", yes a reference they gave you that was stating it wouldn't take more than 60 days to receive an answer. I do wonder if they even look on their systems of which files have been sitting there longer there than others, but probably still wouldn't care.
