OK SO THE 60 DAYS FROM THE LETTER CAME AND WENT ON FEBRUARY 6 THEY EXPIRED I CALLED YESTERDAY TO USCIS AND SPOKE TO A GIRL THAT BASICALLY READ WHATS ON THE COMPUTER LIKE THEY USUALLY DO AND I TOLD HER THAT THE LETTER SAID 60 DAYS AND ONE CAN CALL TO MAKE A SERVICE REQUEST OR IF THE LETTER WAS ONLY GOOD TO USE AS TOILET PAPER... WELL SHE TRANSFERRED ME TO AN OFFICER AND HE SUBMITTED A REQUEST TO THE TEXAS SERVICE CENTER AND TODAY IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON I RECIEVED AN EMAIL FROM THEM SAYING MY CASE WAS ON HOLD PENDING THE RESULTS OF THE BACKGROUND CHECK AND I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS DEALT WITH SOMETHING SIMILAR OR HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET BACK THE RESULTS... I WILL ATTACH WHAT THE EMAIL SAID ANYONE HAVE ANY OPINIONS??????

I don't even believe it yet, but I just woke up to an email and text that we've been APPROVED!!!!!!

"On February 9, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN."

My hands were shaking so much that I could hardly type! Hang in there everyone! I was starting to feel like it would never happen, but soon enough everyone here will get their reply! This is such an incredible feeling and calling to surprise my husband with the news was amazing!

Priority date: May 3, 2013

Transfer to NSC: December 4,2013

Approved: February 9, 2014 :)

We didn't have an expedite, consular filing, etc. Just a regular application! One step closer to getting our life back!!

Anyone know why some get the notice that it's been sent to the State Department, and others (like us), the email just says it's been approved?
