I scanned passport,、marriage certifcate and police clearance certificate、birth certificate and DS-230 to be PDF. Every page is 24M.too big.I have 25pages for all.Can i just send them as JPG format?I can make it smaller as JPG.Not PDF.

File must be sent in PDF format. What you need to do is find a computer with the full version of Acrobat or an equivalent program that will enable you to reduce the size of the file.

I put JPG in word file.Then convert word to PDF.It's small now

1、DS-230,

2、Birth notorial certificate,

3、Passport bio page,

4、Marriage certifcate,

5、Married notorial certificate,

6、Police clearance certificate

7、GUZ IV I-130 Supplemental Packet 3.

It's only 4.6M. I only have all of this for IV set.Is it enough?

i suggest, instead, getting:

1. cutepdf

2. irfanview

then you can load up a jpg file in irfanview

then print to pdf and tweak the settings for output.

this intermediate step of using word to 'place' jpg files - you will lose space round the borders.

I created a word document with all of the requested information in the requested language(s), numbered as in the original, plus a title in exactly the same format as the original, and a signature and date line. I printed it out, had my wife sign and date it, then scanned it into PDF format.

OK - but I think that was overkill.

It can be printed in China, hand filled in China, scanned in China, emailed from China to you.

copy shops abound, a copy shop could have handled this in about 20 minutes (or less)

After getting the marriage certificate notarized from Gong Zheng Chu(公证处), did you need to go through the Chinese foreign affairs department and then the US ambassy in China before sending to NVC?

there is a chinese marriage book, a red book, similar to passport size.

That red book is taken to a notarial translation office, and they translate from chinese into english, and bind it all up in a white book.

However, the white book is very specific.. I'm going to check your other topic, and see if you answered my question there.

I just did it.It come out nicer.But the problem is.I have pages seperate.Like DS-230.has 4pages.How do i put them together like the original form.So they don't have to open 4 times for each page.When they open DS-230 file,They can see from the 1st page to the 4th. I don't know how to put the pages together in a form.

Cool.I can merge all PDF file.Use PDF split/Merge.Now it looks very nice.Thank you .Will send the IV set tomorrow.

My husband sent AOS on last Friday.He has some PDF, some bmp like pay stub..He said it's ok.They got it.Not sure what will they say.

I mentioned a PDF merge tool early on in my topic - please review, take another look? I like this PDF merge tool, was very useful.
