I already created an account on the ustravelsdocs from before (haha, since I did a lot research, but thanks too), let's say I create an interview for 2 months later? What happens if before I don't receive the P4? Can I cancel online or reschedule? If I let the appointment pass without canceling, will it look bad on my interview?

I-130 STAGE 1 : 533 days - 1 year 6 months (4/16/2007 to 9/22/2008)

Priority Date I-130 : 4/16/2007 ( 533 days , APPROVED 9/22/2008)
Transferred to local office based on "security checks" : 11/27/2007
wrote hundreds of letters - received letter from FBI Records Management Chief stating no security checks
local office interview : 2/21/2008 - brought my parents too (result : you will get approval within 2-3 weeks)
5/2/2008 - (lawsuit) Writ of Mandamus - OFFICIAL DATE (7/29/2008)
9/22/2008 - CALL AND EMAIL COPY OF APPROVAL NOTICE FROM LAWYER

NVC STAGE 2 : 99 days - 3 months (9/30/2008 to 1/7/2009)
NVC Received : 9/30/2008
Received Packet 3 (I-864/DS-230) : 11/10/2008
NVC says "RFE sent out 12/9/08 for missing documents" : 12/10/2008
CASE COMPLETE - 1/7/2009

CONSULATE STAGE 3 : 96 days - 3 months (1/8/2009 to 4/14/2009)
CLEARED CUSTOMS - 3/10/2009
**APPOINTMENT DATE : 4/14/2009, 7:15AM**
** BLUE SLIP **

AP STAGE 4 : 97 days - 3 months (4/14/2009 to 7/20/2009)
DOS call to receive I-601 (Waiver of Grounds for Inadmissibility - basically denial) from Guangzhou : 6/24/2009

REMOVAL OF I-601 due to my letters to the USCIS Director, Michael Aytes: 6/29/2009
CALL-IN LETTER NOTIFIED : 7/8/2009
CALL-IN LETTER (APPROVAL)!! : 7/16/2009
ALL DONE!! (got both GREEN CARD & SSN CARD) : 10/1/2009

P4 Letter : 11/21/2013

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

Interview Passed : 12/9/2013

Visa "Issued" on CEAC : 12/10/2013

Your attorney did not give you correct information, the NVC will require those items. If you opt for electronic processing, they can be scanned and emailed to the NVC.

a note to any new readers.

As of 1 SEP 2013 - you must use a DS-261 online form instead of emailing a DS-3032 and

you must use a DS-260 online form instead of emailing a DS-230 .

My wife has interview on 8/25/2013. Does my wife need DS-260 or DS-230 because on one of P4 check list item is “IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 and 2” (DS-230)?

Since you gots a case-complete at NVC on 2013-07-20, this DS-260 not apply to you, at all.

What does apply, is that she has to give over the original DS-230 on interview day.

My case is not complete yet.We sent the corrected AOS on August 13th.No reply so far.Should i send the new form DS-260?

05-28-2013 After waiting for almost 2months,Just noticed The NOA2 is wrong.Called USCIS to correct it.

06-11-2013 NVC recieved

06-24-2013 GUZ casefile number assiged

06-25-2013 Pay AOS fee,DS-3032 OPTIN email sent

07-11-2013 OPTIN accepted,Got GZO number

07-15-2013 Got IV fee email

07-16-2013 Paid IV fee

maybe, maybe not. if you sent in a DS-230 prior to 31 AUG and it was accepted and added to the casefile, then you not need to do the DS-261. How to know? call into NVC, ask for a supervisor (this bit is really important, as the TeleOperators are clueless) and ask about the DS-230 status.

hint (something helpful for me and you) - please write the date you sent off the DS-230 in the Packet 3 Sent : portion of yer timeline.

I have interview date.It's November 25th. 9:30am.Guangzhou consulate. I have a few questions:

1、When do medical examination?And where to do it?

2、When is the good time waiting outside the consulate?Will 8:00am be too early?

3、What should i bring to interview?Is the visa officer fierce or warm?

yay ! congratulations ! IMO, wait for the interview appointment letter, as the instructions are all there.

my wife's interview was at 9:30, she arrived at 9:00 AM. There is not some huge queue snaking around outside, many people are getting different times throughout the morning to alleviate queues.

I remember 'no chinese' in her interview letter. I took the pertinent bits and translated them into chinese, for her. Yup, that was a labour of love...
